I have stayed there alreasdy...last January. But I am going back for a conference this January and plan on staying there again. ANy advice or secret tips for me about the Dolphin?

Josh :confused3 :thumbsup2

All my connections have moved on. I really enjoyed working there is was a lot of fun. Last time I stayed there I got an awesome room. I did read on the resort board that one section of the hotel was dealing with a mold problem. But that is very common in Florida.

Where is everyone staying the night before?

Yes, Randy...I am trying to give us enough time to confirm they are all there. I am not too sure how to do this though. Should I ship each room seperately or all together? What do you think?

you could ship all of them to your room but then we couldn't wear them to the get-together. In order for everybody to get them before 2:30 (so we can recognize each other), they would have to go to each person's stateroom. That's probably the best way.

I don't know if Larrygadget and mwstar are interested in joining our list?

I am still working on changing my cabin. One day they told me there was only one cabin cat. 11 available on the entire ship. Now I see the have availability for three different cat. so you never know.

Larry and mwstar.......do you want to be on our DDC list of VIP's cruisin on 11/22 ?????? :cool1: :cool1:

If so, post you info and I'll add it !!! :thumbsup2

Too bad about not having any more connections. But it is still a great place.

We are staying at the MCO Embassy Suites.

How is everyone getting from hotel to the port?

Right now, we have a van rented, but not sure if that is the best way to go. The problem we have is after the trip. We have to fly out of Tampa, so that means a van to Tampa. Anyone have a good suggestion there?

I made an error on the previous door sign and have corrected it.....

I still have room for a couple names!

Brandon - I just printed the flag pic in 8.5" x 11" using regular paper and standard print settings and it did fine. Have you tried it yet?

I can only get better using glossy photo paper and the best printer settings. I'm going to print the other 2 to see how well they print.

I haven't tried it yet, but if you say it worked than great I am all over it. Iwill be printing mine over the next week or so...I will let you know how they turn out

I am doing a Mickey and MInnie Pumpkin for halloween, the third that I am carving is either going to be PLuto, Magic Castle or the DCL logo.

I will post pics as soon as I have them.

great! I'd love to see them.

To all Dorky Disney Cruisers

I am providing a door sign to some of you who requested one. I am more than happy to do this and will make the same offer to all of our exclusive club members (DDC's) :grouphug: .

The 3 different signs are posted on page 24 of this thread. I can also personalize it by adding the names of your family. The flag sign doesn't have any room for family member's names but the other ones do.

Just let me know and I'll print them out :badpc:

I think this just might have to be the front of the shirt!!! I like it so much better then what I have comeup with.

But maybe instead of putting "With the Dorky Disney Cruisers" I will put "With the DDC"

And then put the date on the sleeve.

Good?

sounds good to me! Do you need me to email the original?

Randy

Hi RRB,

I would love one.

Quick question, how will this hold up on the door? Will I get it at the meet?

Thanks

Hi Pat - I'm leaning toward using a printer paper made by 3M called Post-It Photo Paper. It is just like the regular (and smaller) Post-It notes which have a slight sticky back on them. We should be able to apply them, move them and take them home with is.

I guess the best way to get them to everyone would be at the 2:30 meeting. Is that OK?

So, which one and do you want any names on it?

Randy

OK, there has been to much time without a post here........ The DDC's need to know the following -

1) who gets their cruise documents first?
2)what are you doing on the Nassau day?
3)what are you doing on the day at sea?
4)anybody doing any spa treatments?
5)who wants to get together at another time?

Randy

Hi RRB!

I would like a door sign of the ship at Castaway Cay. Thank you so much.

Nassau day: Not doing much. My mom and I will probably shop while our husbands are on a private fishing excursion.

Sea day: Relaxing!! (if you call chasing a 2 year old around the ship relaxing! :) )

No spa treatments.

3 weeks from today I will be at Pop Century!!!

3)At sea...nothing as of yet other than Palo dinner, we are probably going to relax a little and enjoy the beauty of the ship
4) As for the spa, we had an Exotic Rasul booked however I changed it to a couples Cabana Massage as a surprise for my finace..
5) Another meet...mmmm interesting..

1) who gets their cruise documents first?

I thought I would participate in my own Q/A.....

1-don't have the docs yet.
2-probably enjoy the shipboard activities (movies, etc) and relax. Might do something else. Depends on our other cruise mates.
3-among other things, we find a couple chairs on deck 4 (outside) and pop a bottle of champagne while watching the ocean go by. Sooo relaxing and sweet. It is something we do on every cruise and we always do it on the sea day.
4-no spa treatments on this trip.
5-absolutely!

Can't wait !!!!

1. No cruise docs yet.
2. Still up in the air. Maybe Atlantis, maybe dolphin excursion.
3. Brunch at Palo. Relaxing
4. Couples massage on Castaway Cay, wife is getting Mani/pedi sometime
5. I think after we see each other the first time, we will be having lots of impromptu get togethers throughtout the cruise. I think there should be a DDC dance one night...see how the dorks can really shake it.  :dance3: :dance3:   :dancer: party:
