Doreen's New Way of Life (comments are welcome)

Hi Dor,

I just wanted to stop by and wish you a Happy New Year!!! Sorry, I haven't been around that much - I've been busy going to the gym. Hope your Christmas was wonderful.

Happy New Year. Hope your kids are having a great time in WDW. What fun memories for them to have. :flower1:

Good morning Doe and Happy New Year!

I am glad to hear that your children arrived safely in WDW. When I was in high school, we took our showchoir trip/competition to Florida. It was the first time I had ever been there and we had one whole day at the Magic Kingdom. That trip my senior year is what sparked my love for WDW.

I hope you have a wonderful New Year! Enjoy your new vehicle!!

Tracy :cheer2:

All my love and best wishes to you, Todd, and the kids for a happy and beautiful 2005.

Let's just keep walking that walk, OK? :cool1: :cool1:

HAPPY NEW YEAR DOREEN!

So how do you like driving around in your hot new car? I bet you look pretty cool :smooth:

I'm glad to hear that your kids are having a great time in WDW. Just remember, you'll get to rub in the fact YOU are in WDW with friends in just a few days. They will be in school.

Have a wonderful evening with DH.
Beth

Thanks for all the wonderful New Year wishes! Know that I'm sending warm wishes right back at each of you! :grouphug:

The new car is really nice. We've already put 400+ miles on it. :p

DH and I have enjoyed the past few days. Yesterday we did a volksmarch - 6.2 mile walk. The weather was beautiful - it has been unseasonably warm yesterday and today so we've been out enjoying it. Today we made 2 stops to fix computers at other peoples' houses and then met for pork & sauerkraut at my aunt & uncle's house with my family. Now I'm ready to hit the hay.

Looks like I'll be finishing the 2 computer fixes tomorrow and eating more pork & sauerkraut with DH's famly. Healthy eating will resume on Monday. :p

Hi Doreen and Happy New Year!

Isn't it wonderful to have a new vehicle to drive?
It sounds as if we all slipped up a bit over the holidays, but now it is almost Monday and time to get back on track for me! I will have to check out this NBC that everyone is talking about; it sounds interesting and anything that keeps me accountable is a good thing. I wish that my WISH buddies could come to my house every evening to keep me away from stuff I shouldn't eat. I deal with night time boredom, stress whatever that finds me munching when I really don't need to! Sometimes, when desperate, I just head to bed to avoid the fridge!

Hope your day is going well. I can't believe that the Disney half marathon is
almost here! I'm so psyched for all of you! :cheer2:

:flower1: Let me be the first to welcome you to the FIRST MONDAY OF THE BRAND NEW YEAR! :flower1: :rockband:

OK, maybe that's a bit over the top for a Monday  , but I'm wishing you the best of days, all the same.

:moped: Motor on through it, WISH-sis.

Love,
Erin

:sunny: Good morning and happy Monday! :sunny:

Erin, you should know by now that it's hard to be TOO over the top for me! :teeth: I'm post-TOM and feeling on top of the world!

I won't be lingering long over journals. I really do have a paper to write at work that should have been done 2 weeks ago.

I am feeling upbeat and positive and ready to tackle whatever comes my way today. I LOVE these post-TOM highs! :p

The kids are on their way home. I talked to both of them around 8 - 8:30 last night as the busses pulled out. They expect to be home around 4 PM today! :Pinkbounc I enjoyed the peaceful house but I'm ready to have my babies back home! :grouphug:

Today: Edited at 2:45 PM
1. Devotions: Imitate Christ.
2. Pills: paused just now to take them
3. Water: finishing third mug
4. Healthy eating: didn't start out too well - bagel w/ butter. I'll be eating a healthier lunch! ::yes:: The focus will be on eating smaller portions and avoiding sugar and no binging. Lunch was a cheeseburger.
5. Exercise: Did the first move of my Pilates routine this morning, along with some stretching. I've got the pedometer on and am aiming for 7500 steps. At 2:45, I'm at 3900+ steps.

I'm getting a fair amount of work done. Talked to my son around 1:30 PM - they are on schedule and he's looking forward to coming home. He has had quite a cold since Saturday - poor kid!

Hi Doreen! I haven't checked in on your journal in quite a while, but wanted to swing by and say hello! You're off to a good start already I see!

Happy New Year!

Des

sounds like you have a good day ahead of you princess: Doe! Just watch those portions and drink your water and you will be great! Have you tried any of those firm tapes yet? I can't believe that I am going to be seeing you at the end of the week! So very exciting! I swear I am going to call and check our PS time today - it is on my to do list.

~Amanda

:cool1: Some Pilates and a Pedometer. . .what a great way to start the day! :Pinkbounc

 Hi Doe,
Just stopping by to say Happy New Year and good luck with the half marathon :cheer2: !

:jumping4: The kids are home! :jumping4:
Well, they should be! I am sure the excitement of their trip will spill right over and carry through to your trip!!

It sounds like you are having a GREAT DAY! :Pinkbounc

I picked up the kids last night. They are worn out! DS has a bad cold and DD is coming down with it. They both took naps last evening and then headed to bed early. I'm letting them stay home from school to rest up and do laundry. They did have a great time and were excited to tell me some of the details. The puppy went crazy when they came in. She was so happy to see both of them that she just raced around the house and kept going back to each of them for pets & belly rubs!

Now it's time to start thinking about my upcoming trip! Today I must come up with a packing list that will let me take only a carry-on. We hate to check baggage if we don't have to. :p

I'm starting to feel my glands getting sore and my throat is getting scratchy. I think the cold is coming my way too. I'm abandoning low-carb and will be drinking a ton of water and orange juice today.

Today: (edited 11:30 AM)
1. Devotions: Sometimes God sends me people with a message I don't want to hear - I must learn to listen with grace and an open heart.
2. Pills: Taken.
3. Water: 2 mugs (24 oz) finished. Orange juice - 15 oz.
4. Healthy eating: B was raspberry yogurt with walnuts. L will be beef veggie soup. D will be something light - maybe grilled cheese and soup?
5. Exercise: Made my 7500 steps yesterday and will do the same today. Also did 2 Pilates exercises this morning and some stretching. I'm trying to make this an early morning habit.

Now, I'm off to do some work. I'm feeling bad about not getting to journals the way I'd like to. Maybe after the half.....

Good morning, Doreen. I'm so sorry to hear you're not feeling up to snuff, but maybe you're going to be able to nip this in the bud. Drink like crazy, OK?:drinking1

I'm glad the kids had a good time. I'm sure they need this day to rest and recouperate; I'll be half the band is going to be out of school today!

Oh boy, packing lists. . .it's really happening, Doreen! You're going to the HALF! You're going to have a great time, and the feeling of accomplishment is going to be so rich and amazing. :Pinkbounc

You know I'm sending :sunny: and :goodvibes for your day.

Keep on drinking! :drinking1

Erin
