Dopey new owner question

OK...so our paperwork shows up, nice box, cute tote bag, names spelled correctly and all that good stuff. It says our use year is Dec. 06. We bought into the anniversary deal at SSR Jan. 20 with the 15$ per point off, 2006 pts, etc, and will pay the total balance March 13. I'm still fuzzy on this use year thing-if we hadn't had the special offer to use 2006 points (if there are even any left with a December 06 use year), would we still have had our 150 newly purchased points to use right away? We don't have to wait until Dec. 07 to get our first batch of points, do we? I have to ask here because I can't ever reach our guide.

I guess, put more simply, if we simply bought SSR with a Dec 06 use year, will we get the use of our 150 points as soon as the deal is closed? Thanks.

If you purchase a "Dec '06" use year, you should have 150 points on your contract that were awarded Dec. 1, 2006, when you close, and another batch of points that will be given on Dec 1, 2007, etc.

If you can't reach your Guide call Member Services they will help you to understand your contract. In your info there should be a 1800 number for your guide call that number - I have been a member since 1998 and even when my guide has been on vacation he calls me back within 24 hours. One year he called from the hotel he and his family were on vacation at - give your guide a chance he/she will call or like I said contat Member Services and also let them know that your guide is not calling you back that will be fixed as well
