Doorway to Dreams at Ribfest!

We drove over to Naperville Ribfest early today (Chicago suburb) and lo and behold, there we saw the DTD DVC Team all set up with their own tent!

It is always fun to see them and chat a bit, and this was exciting since we had no idea they would be there! It was very very hot - around 97 when we finally left there. Very high humidity and a real scorcher with the sun out. The poor DVC folks were trying to open the sides of the tent a bit since it was stifling in there. Not much breeze out, however.

They are having a nice drawing with a beautiful Disney basket and I saw a nice large plush Mickey in there! So if you are heading to Ribfest be sure to visit the South Side of the fest where you will find them.

John gave them a couple of his Crystal Light On The Go packets so they could spice up their cold water bottles. But truthfully, I was close to passing out from the heat myself so I took off for the a/c in the car while my family toured ribfest a bit more.

And are those ribs YUMMY!

We usually hit RibFest but opted out this year due to the temps, darn. Would have been fun to see the set-up. Maybe next year!

Oh, I miss Ribfest! I haven't been since we moved to Fabulous Central Illinois! I want White Fence Farm fritters, too!

OOOH, we're going Monday (for the fireworks and the ribs). I hope they are still there, I need a Disney fix! (and we haven't been up to Woodfield since they opened the Apple store in downtown Naperville!). Thanks for the tip!!!

Grew up in Naperville and went to many ribfests. Good place for DVC to put up a tent. Lots of families!

That's fun that they had a DVC tent at Ribfest! We haven't been in a few years... and actually thought about going today, but didn't.

Ribfest will be on today and tomorrow too. Looks like much more pleasant temps in store than yesterday.
