Door Decoration

I'm looking at decoration ideas online and finding conflicting information about the concierge doors on the Magic....do magnets work on the doors or not? In some videos it looks like the doors are white (so I assume metal and magnets work), but in others they look like a wood veneer and posts are saying you need special magnets (rare earth) to decorate your door. Any insights?

Having sailed concierge-Dream class, I can say that for the most part I did not notice any decorated doors. Not sure why, that was just my observation. Anyway, when I do decorate our door, I use a very strong magnet-neodymium magnets. You can find them on Amazon. These will stick to anything metal, no matter how many layers of paint etc. I attach them to my design with clear shipping tape, as they are so strong that they will pull off the design and stay stuck to the door. The doors in concierge do have a woode veneer on them. You need to use the "rare earth" neodymium magnets to have anything stick. The magnetic tape of magnet sheets will not stay on tose doors

The doors on Dream and Fantasy in Concierge have the wood veneer and you need the strong neodymium magnets. You can grab them from amazon. We did decorate our door but just with mouse ears with our names. On the Magic and Wonder they are the same doors as everyone else and regular magnets work.

Caveat to the "regular magnets work" statement. That's accurate to a point. If you use the cheap stuff or the roll of "peel and stick" magnets, you'll constantly be picking them up off the floor. The doors are on spring-loaded arms, and close with adequate force to pop most cheap magnets off the doors quite nicely. We finally switched to the thin, round rare earth magnets and problem solved!
