Dooney & Bourke Disney purses

I am interested in buying a Disney Dooney & Bourke purse. The link below is the one I am interested in- but I have never seen one in person. I need to go to Disney to pick it out- but can anyone answer a few questions for me if you have seen it?

1. Does it have a zipper closure or secured pouch of any kind- or is it only a button closure?

2. How does the interior size compare to other bags? is it fairly roomy?

3. Are the straps comfortable?

Don't assume that the retail stores in Disnelyand will have every Dooney handbag. I didn't see that one when we were there two weeks ago; and I looked at handbags on Main Street in DL, in CA, and in DTD at the World of Disney store and the Vault 28 store.

I've purchased one Dooney bag from TDS website and the reviews were really informative. Definitely read through those!

Really? Wow that's interesting! I was under the impression that the only places you could buy them were either online or in the parks. I've heard that some have the material cut oddly so you end up with chopped off characters- which is why id like to pick one out myself. If the Disney resort doesn't carry this bag then there's no point in delaying purchasing it when I can do it online. I'll have to make a few calls to Disney and see what they have available.

I've ordered several D&Bs from DisneyStore.com. There has never been a problem with oddly cut fabric or cut off characters. In fact, my bags purchased online arrived in better condition than some bags I've seen at DLR (some of the bags at DLR get more handling than others, I guess). If you order online, don't forget to use the free shipping coupon. Any D&B purchase should qualify for that offer.

Hi there, I have this exact bag!! I love it!! My husband ordered it on line as we are in Australia!
It is a great size, fastens with a button only. Inside there is a zippered pocket and slide pocket on one side and a buttoned pocket and phone pouch on the other.
In regards to the material the straps will cover some of the design so if there is a particular character you want on your bag I would try to choose it eg on mine there are characters cut off at the top (simba, bambi etc) so if those characters were important to you. However there are so many great designs I don't mind at all.

Stock in the parks is constantly changing, so even if they don't have the specific bag you want today, that could change at any moment as new shipments come in.

I'm sure D&B only devotes X amount of production resources to the Disney line, and there are so many different patterns and styles now, they just can't seem to keep everything in stock. I don't know that they're particularly good at predicting demand either.

For most patterns I much prefer to buy in the parks so I can choose the bag with the pattern placement I like best. Yes, you have to watch for handling issues, but that's easy enough to do in person.

I hope they have exactly what you want in stock when you're ready to buy OP!

I bought a different style last November at the parks. I ended up getting mine at Vault 28 in DTD. Each location had different ones- DTD, Parks, and hotels. I'm glad I was able to try them on and touch and feel them. I ended up getting a different one (and more expensive) than I had thought. Some of the straps on some models are too short for how I like to wear my purse which is hard to tell online. And, I wanted one that zipped up across the top to prevent thieves from reaching in to my purse.

I went to DLR in may of 2012 and before hand I found a bag online that I really liked and non of the stores had them. So I had to wait till I got home to order the purse! I wish I would've called before hand to see what purses they carried at the DTD or the DLR. I went purseless because I was so stubborn are really wanted my B&B purse.

I am wondering- for anyone who has a Disney Dooney- how well do they wear if you use them on a daily basis? I tend to not switch out my purses very often and so they do get used frequently. Do these purses last or should I expect to use it sparingly? Thanks!

I currently use mine daily and it holds up very nicely. I have a fair number of high end bags (Louis Vuitton, Versace, etc) and I love carrying my D&B Pop Princess bag because it's fun (I always get looks) and looks good even after a lot of use. The main reason I won't carry cheap bags is because I can't stand to have one look worn. I never have that problem with my D&B. I also have a wristlet that I use but not as often and it's held up well too. Just ordered a Princess Half bag to pick up next month at the expo and hoping it becomes a new every day bag for me.

I have a Disney D&B and another D&B from the hearts collection from 6 or 7 years ago. I used that one a ton and it held up well.

I don't use mine a lot just on special occasions as i want it to last a long time plus I don't use a handbag much as I take a nappy bag everywhere

I switch it around. Now that rainy winter weather is here, I will probably mostly use my cheap purse and use my D&B more as the weather gets nicer.

Oh, I forgot to say, when I got it at Vault 28, I also got an AP discount there too.

It was in WDW the week before Christmas. I have quite a few of the big D&B Disney Purses. They are all very similar, the ones that are kind of vinal on the outside. The interior (red fabric) is pretty durable...I am pretty hard on my purses and hey have all held up fine. Love my Disney Dooneys! I have the leather one, too, and it rocks!! GL!!

I have a Dooney Purse and use it everywhere, it is my every day purse. The one I have is the brown purse with the brown silhouette Mickeys on it. I love my purse (I even have the matching wristlet and wallet). My DH bought it for me for Mother's Day 2 years ago and it still is holding up strong. It's like it is brand new still. I have become such a Dooney fan, but I tend to buy more wristlets then purses.

Not to take away the thread from the OP, but I was wondering if you can buy a Dooney (would love a wristlet) purse that is specific to DL. I have a 40th anniversary WDW wristlet that I use a lot, but since we will be going to DLR for the first time in June, I would love to get one that is specific to just DL. I know they had one a year or so ago, I wasn't sure if they still carry it and if they do, where would I get one? Thank you to anyone that can help.
