Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 4

Just posting this info in case someone can benefit from it. I posted a couple of weeks ago that I am buying my wife another Dooney when we are on our cruise next month. Well, I just saved myself $70. Target currently has a spend $50, get a $10 gift card online coupon that expires Sat. This includes Disney gift cards. :cool1: And yes, you can spend that $10 Target gift card toward the $50 Disney card making every $50 card after the first one $40.

I spent $330 for $400 in Disney gift cards. $100 is going to pay the balance of our tips and the other $300 goes toward the purse.

That is super :thanks:

I am in such a fabulous mood!!! I just got a fantastic deal on my very 1st disney dooney!! My friends coworker was selling her used but in great condition dooney for $60 and of course, I jumped on it!!!! :) :) :) just in time for our Disney new years trip!

Thanks for the Target gift card info :thanks: I also got $400 worth of Disney cards for $330 and still have a $10 gift card left :dance3: It did take me a while to convince the sweet cashier how to ring in one card at a time and then apply the $10 gift card but it was worth the time :rolleyes1 Still debating going tomorrow for more :rolleyes2

So you can use the coupon to buy a $50 gift card and get $10 off that gift card? Because the fine print on the coupon is confusing. TIA!

What I did was buy 4 Disney $50 cards and used 4 coupons in 1 transaction. Then the cashier gave me 4 $10 target gift cards I then used them to buy another $50 disney gift card and used another coupon. - So I paid $210 and left with 5 $50 Disney gift cards and 1 $10 target gift card

Thanks. That is what I thought but I don't think my coworker thought they would really issue $10 gift cards for purchasing $50 gift cards.

No, you cannot use it on that first card, the first one is $50. But then you use it to buy a second card, use the first $10 gift card, get a new $10 gift card so the cost of the second Disney card is $40 :cool1: I repeated this process 7 more times, got 8 gift cards, one for $50 and 7 for $40 and have another $10 Target card left to use :dance3: Hope that is clear :)

Target considers the Disney cards as Entertainment Cards, not Gift Cards. Therefore, you can use the discount coupon. I did it today.

Sorry. Maybe I wasn't asking my question right. I wanted to know if I could use the COUPON when buying the Disney gift card. I think everyone thought I was asking if I could use the $10 Target GIFT CARD to buy the first Disney card. The coupon is/was to receive a $10 gift card for every $50 purchase. So the answer is yes, in the first transaction, buy a $50 Disney card and redeem the coupon for a $10 Target gift card. Then in the second transaction, use that $10 card toward the purchase of the second Disney gift card and so on.

I haven't heard of any new designs except for one for WDW marathon that looks very similar to the tonal design but in blue with different colors and different designs in the Mickeys. I don't personally like it but here is the link for it

::yes::

I REALLY like the new marathon purse! Think it will be available after the race at WDW just to purchase. We are going the week AFTER tha marathon ( leaving in 10 days!!) and I was wondering about purchasing it?

I am sending my Tassel Sketch to Dooney today to see what they can do about the material peeling away on the handle.
Hoping it won't take the entire 6 weeks.

Just an update. I sent my DDB to Dooney for the handle to be fixed around 27Nov12. I received it back today (4Jan13). Looks great!
