Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 4

I realize this may be a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone here has a Mickey Wonder wristlet that they would be willing to sell? My mother got the Mickey Wonder tote for her birthday last year and now she wants a matching wristlet. I have looked high and low for one and cannot seem to find one for sale. If anyone here has one, I would gladly buy it from you. :)

There is one on ebay right now. The seller has the auction set up with the matching purse. Maybe you can contact the seller and ask them if they would be willing to sell you just the wristlet? I have done this in the past with other disney dooneys and have been lucky to get what I need.
Good luck!:cutie:
search ebay for disney dooney and bourke and you should see the bag.:wizard:

Hi folks,

Has anyone spotted any of the sketch Dooney and Bourke crossbody bags in any of the parks or DTD recently? They are sold out of the pink and purple online and I would really love to take advantage of the sale but get the color I love. I have ordered the blue and plan to keep it if all else fails.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

They were everywhere in DTD and in the parks and in all colors. They were full price in the parks:sad1:

I've seen that listing on ebay. I will message the seller and see what happens. Thanks!

Oh great maybe they will kindly exchange mine for the color of my choice! I am not sure if that is allowed since it is coming from the Disney Store. Hmmm and if not I am loving the pretty pink comic bags.

Thanks so much for your reply! Also happy you had a great trip, my husband and I are super excited about ours as well.

Here is pixie dust that you have a great trip and that they make your dreams come true with exchanging the purse. They also had the pink comic purse everywhere:wizard:

Okay, I need some advice because I know many of you here are sellers on ebay. I have contacted the seller and it seems as though she is willing to sell the wristlet seperately, but she asked me to make an offer. These situations always make me uncomfortable because I do not want to offend someone with a low ball offer, but I also don't want to spend outrageous amounts of money on something because of my desire not to offend. What would you all consider to be an acceptable (and non-offensive) offer? I know this is subjective, but any help would be great! Thanks!

What is she asking for the pair? I'd go with retail, which would be around $50. Good luck!

She is asking $249 for the set. I will offer MSRP. Thanks! :thumbsup2

I think the crossbody would be great! It has an adjustable strap (like a belt) and can be made pretty small. I suppose you could punch another hole into the strap if it still was too long. FYI, the crossbodies are on sale at ds.com and they are an extra 30% off today with free shipping. Just sayin'... :rolleyes1 The wristlets are cute, but I find them to be awkward when worn on the wrist. I'd be afraid a child would put it down somewhere while out and forget to pick it up again. :scared1: Another option if she likes princesses would be the princess bucket bag. They aren't on ds.com anymore, but if you live near a Dooney outlet, check it out. I found one there for 50% off. They can also be found on eBay.

Good luck with your decision - what a special gift! :lovestruc

Thanks so much for your opinion! :-) The cross body it is! I never considered that she'd put the wristlet down somewhere and forget it. I did see them on DS.com but I'm thinking that since we'll be there this summer I'll let her pick it out in person. Her bday is in Sept. I think it'd be a nice early bday present. I did have her look at them online and I don't think we'd be to lucky on the placement. As we all know how placement is very important! :-)

I think that you might find the cross body bag is a bit long in the body part for a child, depending on her height. The other bag you might want to consider is the Mickey Balloon pouchette. It is a little smaller in the body, and would maybe be a better size for her. It has an adjustable strap too. I have the white one and it is super cute. :cutie:

I would agree with this about the cross body being too long. The strap is really long, even on the shortest setting. I like the strap length better on the Balloon Mini Margot.

I also have the balloon mini Margot and I agree with the length of the strap. There is even a section that buckles off so you can make it shorter or longer. The bag itself it really cute also. It is alittle small for me - I tend to carry alot of stuff - but it is a great evening bag for me when just going out for dinner. I have the black one.

Decisions, decisions! I know she loves Minnie Mouse too! She bought the stuffed toy Minnie last year as well as the Minnie backpack doll! I'm just gonna have to let her loose in a store that has great selection and see what she picks out. LOL! We are grown ups with a Disney Dooney addiction and now I'm starting my 8 year old off young! Oh no I'm creating a monster! Hahahaha

DS.com is having free shipping today. I have been thinking about the comic pink barrel. In order to make a purchase at WDW, I have to either make a special trip or bring a change of clothes on the days that I am working (I work there 2 days a week). I have the balloon black barrel (they call it a satchel I think) and it's the favorite out of all 4 bags I have (I like my DL bucket, but don't like the open top so much). The messenger bag I have I like, but it's a bit small. Should I just order it from DS.com? If I don't like it, can I return it to WDW? I guess I should be asking that question of a co-worker, lol....

Edit to ask:
if anyone is down here right now, have you seen this bag at DTD (Tren-D or World of Disney)? Or anywhere else?

Mini Margot, that is what I meant, not pouchette. Sorry about that. I think that would be the perfect size.

Answer to the return question is that it would go back to our local Disney Store. I am taking a change of clothes to the shop on Saturday since I am meeting some people for dinner, but I don't know if I want to go back to DTD afterwards to shop. it will be a long day (I switched shifts, so I start at 8:45am, which means leaving the house by 7:45) and WOd is busy enough during the day let alone the nights! :)

That sounds like a good plan. Then she can try on a crossbody and see if it's too long. Plus, there may be a new pattern out by summer. Not that I'm hoping for one... :rolleyes1

Hi everyone!

I'm mostly a lurker, but last summer I posted some questions about a wristlet I was thinking about. I got a lot of help and even got a warning about Disney Dooneys and how they're addictive. :lmao:

I got a white sketch wristlet for our trip in September and while we were there I decided that I had to have another bag. Yes, the addiction had started! :) I didn't find any that were the right size for me, they were either too big or too small.

When we got home I did find the Lucy bag on DS.com and I bought it over Thanksgiving at 20% off. I also bought a black Mickey balloon wristlet. I love them both! I have gotten many compliments on the Lucy bag.

I thought I was done with the bags since we won't be at Disney until December and I don't care for the comic bags. I've looked at the Erica bags before and initially didn't like them, but whenever I search the site I keep coming back to them, so I guess the bag is growing on me.

Then I got the additional 30% off email and decided I HAD to have the blue Erica bag. The problem was, the deal I made with DH is that any bags I get outside of birthday, Christmas, etc. I have to earn the money for. I sold a bunch of things on Ebay over the holidays, but that money was intended for updating our half bath. But now, getting an Erica bag for under $100 seemed more important! So what if the bathroom faucet and TP holder are way outdated and showing their wear? So what if the towel ring won't stay on the wall, my kids can just shake their hands dry, can't they? None of that matters as long as I get my Disney Dooney, right? :rotfl:

So I ordered the blue Erica bag, with my husband laughing at me the whole time. And now I'm back to digging through our house to find more things to sell on Ebay to update the bathroom!
