Brandi I believe this pattern has been retired. Someone just sold that same bag on the Facebook group last month. There is a document where you can list the disney dooneys you are searching for in the FB group. They also come up on ebay every so often.

Can you still buy this bag anywhere?

I think you're probably stuck going secondary market on that one. A few blue Mickey faces and pink Minnie faces bags did show up at Disneyland within the past few months, probably a stray box found in a stock room somewhere, but they sold really quickly and at full price too. They had been 30% - 40% off even at the resort when they were originally clearing them out.

Soooo, there was a seller on ebay selling the leather sketch tote for $330 plus $13 shipping....it should be here in a few days!!!!

I just don't understand how they can afford to sell them so cheaply, who knows, maybe they're a cast member. Needless to say I'm completely and totally psyched!

I bet it's the same seller I mentioned earlier.

Just for fun I ran the numbers on the e-bay/paypal calculator I use; assuming a 20% discount, they might have cleared $5 on the deal selling the leather tote at that price, although if they insured the package, it would drop their profit to .05¢. So I think you're right, they have to be getting a better discount than even the big dog AP. But I thought CM's using their discount to resell was a huge no-no?

Someone posted that a CM said mid July. That's third hand information though, so I wouldn't make too many plans around it.

I have no idea what a good price would be on this? But I found a brand new one for $235.40 I have no idea if that is good or not?

The original price was $175 according to the first page of this thread. Thank goodness for that price list because it's getting hard to keep track of all the Disney Dooneys!

It is a huge no-no but I've seen other CM's do it as well. When I was a cast member (sigh..) it states on several sites and different literature that the merchandise bought at an CM discount or venue is for personal use only and is not intended for resale. If a CM is found to be doing this, it is grounds for immediate termination.

Hi Dooney experts! I was lucky enough to be @ WDW at the first release of the white sketch several years ago, which I still love! I also have the black with mickey silhouettes..which I also love.

I've resisted buying any others because there really haven't been any that I love SOOO much to buy them at full price (bought mine with my CM discount) However..I do LOVE LOVE LOVE the new DL Retro pattern!

So here's my question for those "in the know." I do LOVE this pattern and several of the bag styles, but really am looking for a specific cut. Haunted Mansion is my FAVORITE of all things Disney, and I would like that picture (along with New Orleans Square) on the front of the bag and not cut off by the edge or the label. All the ones I've see so far have it off to the upper right of the bag and 90% cut off

Anyone know or have seen any bag that comes close to what I'm looking for?? TIA

Unfortunately the answer is no, at least not on the larger bags. I shopped the Retro bags for several Dooney buddies and one of the most common requests was to get a full image of everything somewhere on the bag.

This was the only way I found I could do that:

I know having the images hidden away on the bottom panel was not what people were wanting, but it seems they cut the fabric for all the large bags in much the same position.

I've been able to find Haunted Mansion and New Orleans Square well positioned on the smaller bags. In fact New Orleans Square with the Pirate ship and the Tiki bird is one of the first things I look for, and I'm not even a Tiki room fan, I just love that darn bird for some reason though.

Several of us were quite vocal about the same images missing on all the bags on release day when both the creative director and the artist were there, so hopefully on future runs they might address that issue, but no guarantees.

Well, I couldn't take it any more. There was a Princess Collette bag on Ebay earlier this week. Must have been one of the ones that were for sale @ TrendD in April (no Marathon Medallion). DH told me for 2 days: BUY IT!! On the 3rd day, I DID!!!!


It arrived this morning & I absolutely LOVE IT!!!! Can't believe I paid that much for a purse, I usually think $40 @ Penney's is a lot. I am soooo happy!!!

Any ideas where I could sell my bag (its the black and white mickey cartoon large bag with red shoulder strap) besides ebay. I bought it in Feb and only carried it a couple of months because I like a larger bag. Never sold anything on ebay and was hoping there is an easier way to list the bag.

Thanks!! I absolutely love it! DH asked for that much money, was I going to use it or frame it. I told him I was gonna do both. My DD couldn't believe I actually bought such a high end purse. Luckily she thinks it's very pretty, too. Told her she'd inherit it someday!

Thanks & good luck to you! I do wish I had found one in the parks, I would have saved about $140. But I really wanted this purse, and luckily we could afford the Ebay price. I was afraid they would only get more rare & hard to find so I just went for it. It really is beautiful in person.
