Dooney & bourke Disney collaboration part 2

Disneyland Resort had all colors of LCs this weekend at Vault 28, store in Grand CA, and DCA. I finally got my blue LC in DCA. I asked about looking at pattern placement, and the CM went in back and came back with a box of about 10 blues!! Sorted through and found one with a complete Mickey and almost 95% complete Tink.

I think I'm good for Dooneys for awhile, unless the DL55 Tote starts calling to me. I've been looking at placement, but haven't found one that has demanded to be purchased.

Is there any chance of ever being able to purchase the purple wristlet online? I really want one!!! I love the letter carrier too, but I don't see myself using it anywhere else other than WDW, so I don't want to spend that much on it! Are the purple wristlets hard to find in WDW right now? I'll be there in 7 weeks, so maybe I could track one down if I can't get it online!

I've never seen the Isabella Fiore bags at Vault 28, and I really wanted a first hand look at the canvas/leather combo, so I've been watching for them. Of course I only pop in occasionally, so I could have missed them.

Well, purple letter carriers weren't available online for the longest time, and they are now, so I'd say there's definitely a chance wristlets could become available again too.

I know stock has been pretty hit and miss in the parks, but if it were me I think I'd wait and try to find one in person. IMO placement can totally make or break these bags. I've actually seen a few I wouldn't even want due to funky pattern placement - but I admit I'm very picky when it comes to that. If you order online, you take whatever you get. JMO though.

I know! I'm really happy. Mickey and the castle were what I really wanted, but I got pretty much everything in a good spot. Now I don't have to send my dad looking .

I am trying to decide if I should order one for my sister. I have a purple wristlet put away for her for christmas, but I wonder if she would like the tote more?

It's getting pretty slow in here. I think its about time we got a new design!

I don't think I'd order a letter carrier online, but maybe a wristlet. I was looking at the purple lc's available on ebay a few days ago and a few the placement was terrible on the ones that I saw! I'll probably wait until I'm there to decide if I want one or not, and if there is no purple, I'll try to look for blue or pink!

just wanted to thank the poster who broke the news about the purple lc's being available at disney shopping. mine just arrived with the most perfect placement. full castle, full tink, full mickey and banner. took a chance and am so pleased with it. i was hoping for the best but figured at least a mediocre placement would be ok. anyway, thanks so much for letting us all know and good luck to all who decide to order sight unseen from disney shopping!

also, for what it's worth, i think it's actually harder to get good placement on a wristlet. i don't think i am going to try one of those without seeing the actual bag. jmho, but sometimes the wristlets have very little in the way of full pictures on them . they are so small. it seems like the letter carriers are more likely to have some good characters. again, good luck to all in the search for the perfect dooney!

ITA. I think that the smaller the bag, the more important placement becomes. Although I've also seen some larger bags with weird repeats, cut off heads, etc. that I didn't care for at all. But I've already admitted I'm very picky about that.

Honestly I've found some e-bay auctions to be priced quite well, especially recently. So that's an option too. You just have to be careful because some sellers take a picture of a handbag with perfect placement, and then try to bury the fact that they're using stock photo's, and the bag pictured is not the one you will be getting, in the small print. Grrr! I hate that!

Congrats to everyone who got good placement through Disney shopping! It's a gamble, but there are days when I've been shopping in person and haven't been able to find a placement I liked that way either, so I guess that can be a gamble as well - plus you never know what will or won't be in stock at the parks.


I agree that we need a new release to liven things up a bit.

Just a quick note that I also ordered a purple LC from disneyshopping.com- it arrived today and I am very happy with the placement!

Got a purple wristlet off ebay a couple weeks ago for a good price, with wonderful placement. Agree that the wristlets can be especially tricky, at least from what I've seen.

Purple is my signature color, so these are perfect for me.

HockeymomNH: it does have the rainbow zipper which is really cute. The bag is bigger than I thought it would be (I hadn't seen a LC in person before). I really like it and think it may be perfect to use in the parks so my stuff is accessible instead of crammed in a bag with the stuff for the kids. DH might actually be able to get me on my phone when we split with the kids

It has been almost a year since Hallowishes started this whole thread - wow!
I love those Isabella Fiore bags - would love to see one in person.
