Dooney and Bourke Tent Sale

Just received an e-mail about a Dooney and Bourke tent sale in Norwalk, CT from 12/8-12/11. Merchandise will include overstocks, discontinued items, seconds, and one-of-a-kind samples. Items mentioned as being in the sale are handbags, men's wallets, women's accessories, and briefcases.
Is anyone familiar with this sale? Are the mark downs better then at the Dooney outlets? Any info would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

Sorry but I don't have any answers for your questions. I'd love to be there for the sale, but I'll be at DL and airfare would quite expensive at short notice. Can't wait to hear how it went.

Just received an e-mail about a Dooney and Bourke tent sale in Norwalk, CT from 12/8-12/11.

FYI, there is a Dooney & Bourke Outlet Store (along with many more upscale stores) at the Premium Outlet Mall, near Disney World in Orlando, FL.
It,s just south of I-4, just outside of Downtown Disney, right next to Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine.

I have been to the tent sales and plan to attend this one over the weekend. Yes they have great deals (better than the outlets) but be prepared for big crowds, unruley people who can be rude, and making quick decisions. I have gotten a few bags and wallets from the tent sale and am VERY happy. As an example I purchased a $300 bag that was an overstock for $175 and the matching $125 wallet for $40. If it is local for you to go to, I recommend it. Good luck.

I have to say, I do not like Doonye and Bourke at all! I bought a purse from them 5 years ago...after less than one year the strap all started to crap and the coloring started to chip off. Looked like crap. I called them and they had me send it back. They called and said they would send me a new one for 50% of the cost! NO THANKS! So they sent me back my crappy looking purse. I have coach bags that I have had for a lot longer and they still look brand new! I will never buy D&B again....tent sale or not...

The address at the bottom of my e-mail is 1 Regent Street, Norwalk, CT. Map in e-mail says that it is Exit 16 off I-95. HTH

Thanks Crazy Hakim...I have been to the outlet many times in Orlando and gotten some great deals especially when they have an additional 25% off the entire store. I used to also visit the outlet in Reading, PA, but have not been there since it moved. Got my current handbag there...MSRP $275 and I paid $105.

The dooney website runs specials. I ordered my dd a purse for Christmas yesterday. It retails for $140 and it was on special for $84. I went ahead and got a coin purse for $30 to put up for her birthday (5 days after Christmas). I think the website is www.dooney.com

Sounds like you can get great deals. Unfortunately, I have worked for Mr. Bourke in the past (in his home) and he was such a jerk, I can't even look at his bags without boiling! I must admit, however, there are some that I really like!
