Don't you hate

*displaying my forum ignorance*

How the heck are you able to find a thread that's been closed?? :confused3
(me nosy)

:upsidedow

If it's been deleted, you can't find it. If it's just been locked, you can search for it with the search function (if the search function is working.)

Our old pal Testifyoncruises is posting on a couple of other boards - and fessed up that she was indeed a troll, posting to irritate us all. She also claims to have a couple of more usernames here - and is just laying low but still posting until she can irk us all again. Wonder when she'll pop up - or if she already has ...

That was one of the funniest threads I've read in awhile. I hope they do show up again. Their ignorance and capacity for having too much time on their hands is overwhelming.

Umm hello 25 is NOT a teeanger the last time I checked;):lmao:

After the OP's first few posts I gave up and closed the thread. Didn't realize that OP gave an age. Just went by tone of the posts in guessing it was a teen. Then again, I probably short changed a lot of teens with that assumption. :flower3: Sorry to all the teens who may have been offended by my assumption.

What bugs me more is a thread getting closed, with no explanation whatsoever, and it seriously wasn't even that bad. Worse ones are allowed to go on seemingly forever before they may finally get closed.

I would have made the same assumption; the posts looked a LOT like something my DD14 would have written, complete with font color, style, and formatting.

Oh, that has happened to me and I hate it, too! :headache:

Or when you come back the next day and a thread's already been closed, but you read it and see that someone addressed a completely idiotic comment to you, but you can't respond! :rotfl:

Agree with you. I only read a few pages of that closed thread coz I felt it was just someone trying to cause a little trouble. But there's another current thread that seems to be pretty volatile with heated comments. Every time I see it near the top of the page I'm surprized. I would have thought it would have been closed already. But I'm not a moderator so I just think I don't know all the rules. That's why I like it when they put why they are closing the thread, so we can know what the rules are.

I agree - I like when the mods give an explanation for closing a thread. Sometimes it's obvious - sometimes not so much.
