One bad thing happened,

We accidentally left DDs most beloved stuffed animal behind in the room. We realized this at 1AM this morning and I called BC then and this morning. Lost and Found is closed today. Mouse keeping looked around their area, no luck. I will try Monday

DD will be crushed when she figures this out. Hopefully he was just chillin with a Princess for an extra day

Oh no! That has always been one of our biggest fears: Bunny gets left behind.
Good thoughts heading your way for a recovery.

As far as the coffee pods go, if we are in a standard room will mouse keeping provide enough pods for our family to have 2 cups each daily ( 4-8 pods). I am trying to figure out what we will need to purchase at the grocery store on the way from the airport.

i just wanted to tell you not to panic yet. my ds lost a very beloved autographed pluto hat in one of the parks, and the worst was that we had no idea where he left it. i gave them a few guesses (it turned out he lost it in the pin trading area in epcot, a VERY crowded area) and they were able to locate it and they shipped it to us for free, and it arrived very quickly. i am shocked that they found it.

i also left a phone charger at the GF on another trip and they sent that to me, as well.

i will keep my fingers crossed for you, but we have had very good experiences with their lost and found!

Fingers and toes crossed for you! Even with the boys at 11 and 8, we still worry about this (although I don't think I'm supposed to tell anyone that my older son brought his little stuffed cheetah). They're very good with left behind items, as we know from experience, so I'm sure they have it somewhere.

No one has mentioned room service yet? That would've been our option had we not chosen to stay CL this time...

I had room service breakfast on our last day whist DH took DD to Captains Grille. The food was good (I had the steak and eggs , using up credits)

We also tried a couple of the continental options from Ale and Compass. They were bleurgh. I sent DH for a cupcake and he came back with a croissant as he knew I like them - erm yes, warm not cold and day old.

We had the following ADRs this past week:

Hollywood Brown Derby Fantasmic pkg. good but overpriced
Crystal Palace character breakfast. Good food, in park before it opened
Boma at AKL. Very good. Loved it
'Ohana. Disappointed this time. Rushed, dry, dull. Our previous meal there had been outstanding
Be Our Guest - amazing theme and experience. Good food, had the Grey Stuff
Rose and Crown. Very good food. Raucous. Finished dinner right before Illuminations and our amazing server CM whisked us to a "secret" viewing spot since the regular VIP area was full. Wow!! Try the Scotch Egg!

Our servers were all excellent except 'Ohana which was meh.

Good CS meals too. We ate a Kitchen Sink at BnC on Friday. Awesome experience

This is probably kind of a silly question, but I've actually never made hotel reservations before, so I'm a little new to this stuff.

I just booked a trip to BC for my sister and me. I booked it online, and couldn't quite figure out the "Requests" section of the online reservation thing, so I just left it blank. I'd sort of like to request a full balcony and two queen beds. Do I just call Disney to add it to my reservation, or am I out of luck because it's already booked?

You can add it anytime but no guarantees.

Good luck!

Uh oh.... But all is not lost! We found out years ago there are sellers on ebay who have a stock of many stuffed animals and blankets that children have become attached to but are no longer sold in stores.

One child, who shall not be named, was beating the heck out of his bear. He REALLY liked this bear but "Kissy teddy" was about to be the victim of an accidental beheading if I didn't act quickly. I took one of his old blanket sleepers and made Kissy pajamas to hide the Frankenstein like sewing job I had to do to secure her head.

Then I got to thinking, what if Kissy was destroyed in an unfortunate dog mauling accident or if some other fate would befall her. I didn't want to live with a homicidal 5 year old who no longer could sleep because Kissy was gone.... so I searched on ebay and lo and behold I found her!

So Sissy teddy joined her sister Kissy teddy, which is an unfortunate name for a boy's teddy bear but, hey, what are ya gonna do, and besides, it fit! My son was appalled that I would have a replacement for Kissy so I had to build up the story line that it was just her sister that was visiting. Like most relatives that stay too long Sissy was barely tolerated but she eventually wore him down and she found a spot on his bed with the rest of the 5 billion stuffed animals that slept there.

I always thought that Sissy never had a chance because of the name I gave her. What self respecting 5 year old alpha male is going to become surgically attached to a stuffed animal named "Sissy"? Let that be a lesson to us Moms out there. If you have a boy you better name their stuffed animals something like 'fang' or 'killer'.

And speaking of stuffed animals on the bed, for years I kept waiting for the police to come and take me away because all the stuffed animals took up 90% of the bed and my son only had the remaining 10% to sleep on. Every time I would clear space and remove some animals my son would drag them back out of the closet and back on the bed. Then the dog decided to sleep on his bed and there went that last 10 %!

Good luck with finding that stuffed animal. Remember, if things get really bad you can always tell DD that the stuffie had to go into the witness protection because Lotso put a contract out on stuffie's butt.. Yeah, she'll buy that.... Maybe I should stick to naming boy teddy bears...

I was thinking of telling her that abomination Duffy kidnapped the bunny...

Two birds with one stone...

But I am not that kind of dad

No way you could do that. I tried once to help my niece with a replacement nala since the first one I got her was so worn. She accepted the second one but wouldn't give up the poor, tattered one so she had nala 1 and nala 2. I sure hope you get your dd's stuffie back.

Just wanted to say that we once "lost" a beloved teddy while still on vacation and it turned out she had got mixed up in the bed sheets when housekeeping were changing them. All ended well though as they searched for her and found her in the laundry room. You might want to ring and check teddy isn't in the laundry :goodvibes

Wanted to give a shout out to 2 special CMs at the slide, Amanda and Cal. So friendly, funny, and kind to my kids

David, the greeter, and all of the other CMs at TC/BC were superb as well

Hopefully the mouse keeping/lost and found combo come through

Anyone know what the Ariel room is used for? The one at the MV Lounge

I think it is only used for special events, like weddings or corporate events.

Ha! My 11 year old has a stuffed cheetah as well! He bought it at Animal Kingdom several years ago and has slept with it ever since!!

:welcome:

Did you book through Disney? Do you have a Disney reservation/confirmation number? If so, call Disney's central reservation number, tell them you have a reservation and would like to add a request for it. "Full balcony, please. Two Queen beds"

You can add that at any time.

Speaking of lovies-

My avatar on the DIS is "Nay-Nay-Roar" the Little People Lion that my son Nate became attached to when he was 2 years old. Went to bed with it every night, carried it everywhere, would hide/lose it and be distraught until I tore the house apart looking for it. We eventually banned it from leaving the house. And eventually purchased a backup from eBay which fortunately we never had to employ.

The original sits on my son's bedroom shelf and I can't watch any of the Toy Story movies without thinking of it.

HubbDave- wishing you much pixie dust in recovering the lost lovie! pixiedust:
