BC lovers, I need help!!! We are staying at SSR this October and will sorely miss the BC, but it wasn't in the cards this trip!! Anyway, we are hoping to be back at the BC in April 2014 but can't decide if we should do it as a 5 or 6 night BC/WDW vacation or for 4 nights after a 4 night DCL cruise (would be our first).

I'm so concerned that we won't get to enjoy the BC if we are just doing 4 nights after the cruise and DH wants to hit the parks!! Anyone want to weigh in?

Thanks!!

We are counting down the days for our upcoming YC stay  We received our magic bands and got an email confirming that we are testers. So does the band have to be activated in some way at check-in at the resort? Just wondering how all that will work.

Also, I want to thank my fellow YC/BC lovers on this thread for introducing us to TastyKakes! I was very pleasantly surprised to find them at my local grocery store all the way down here in Texas!! :) Bought a box of the chocolate peanut butter ones yesterday. Very yummy indeed!

I believe your bands are active when they get shipped, at least mine were according to My Disney Experience. You can check under the 'manage my bands' section- managing the bands includes the options to deactivate a band and report a band as lost. The bands serve as your DME tickets so they need to be active prior to arrival.
I'm no expert (who is at this point?), but I plan on carrying the paper DME tix as well- my suggestion would be to do the same. :)

YAY! YAY! YAY! A standard room opened up at YC so we are officially switched over to where I wanted to be for our trip (sorry BC lovers, I really had my heart set on YC!). Stalking the Disney web site does work.

Just Curious If anybody booked a room at Beach Club with the Military Discount? Which rooms are included in the Discount?:scratchin

For our stay 10/20-10/25 we were only able to book lagoon view. I know of someone else who got a standard view in early October so it's based entirely on dates.

Thanks! I just checked and ours are indeed already active. I think I remember reading somewhere to pack them in our carry on bag, but I missed the part about them serving as DME tickets too. Makes sense. So I guess we will put them on upon landing at MCO before heading down to catch DME. That is definitely a good suggestion to have the paper tix as well as the band!

I'm sorry if this is redundant but I haven't found the answer combing through this thread. We're staying for the first time at the Beach Club villas (one bedroom). Usually we do 2 separate rooms at the Yacht club.
I see that there is a coffee maker. Do we bring our own coffee? Is there milk available for purchase in the lobby? We're using Magical Express from MCO, not stopping anywhere.
Also, no robes are provided, correct?

Very nervous about this choice, as we have 2 teens and will be sharing one bathroom!!!!!!!!!!!

We've stayed in a one bedroom villa 3 times now. The set up of the bathroom is wonderful. It's hard to explain but I'll try: The shower and a sink are in one area that you can close off and the toilet is behind another door off of that room.

Then there is a big tub with another sink that can be shut off from the room with the shower too! It's a great set up for more than one person to get ready at the same time.

We brought coffee and filters from home. But if I remember correctly there will be filters in the room as well as some coffee. I'm not sure how much exactly tho because we always used our own.

Enjoy!!!!

I have another unrelated question, but I've always been able to get my questions answered here! :)
Thinking of surprising DH with The Beer Dinner during F&W. Has anyone done this? I've googled for a bit for a review and have come up empty handed. Any information would be so appreciated! Thanks everyone!!

Princess Olivia is finally here :) I am so excited

Congratulations!

You know, there is this little Prince George that was born last week and he's going to need a Princess Bride in about 25-30 years from now....

27 days out and magic bands arrived today. Now waiting for email in 10 days to confirm we are part of the test

Does anyone know how early the monorails start running?

Thanks
