Ship in a timely manner. Ship items within 7 days of receiving payment.

Is the 7 days a requirement, or just a suggestion?
I have had a few Ebay sellers really drag their feet, and have even filed a complaint with Ebay. I fully understand. I agree it is not unreasonable to expect shipment within 7 days. Even 7 days is pushing it I think.
I sell on Ebay very rarely. I have always shipped within hours, never even going to 24. As a buyer, I know how anxious I am to receive the item.
And I also would not sell knowing I would be out of town when the auction ends. That is just common sense. And hopefully through all this Marci has learned she cannot always rely on others for her responsibilities.
I see where the Paypal complaint has to be filed within 30 of the payment. And that is to recover funds from their Paypal account.
I went through that process a few years ago by a pin scammer where she and her DH scammed THOUSANDS of dollars by selling pins they did not have and did not ship.
Quite a mess: internet fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud, etc. They are/were in prison due to their dirty deeds.
From that experience I learned NEVER pay using Paypal directly from your checking account. There is no
It used to be a requirement, although it may have changed. I'll check around on the site later and see what I can find.

No, not with the Thanksgiving Holiday.According to marcimouse, she mailed out my pins last saturday or Monday, well if that were true, I believe I would have my pins by now, don't you think ???

The buyer was a PowerSeller himself; as soon as he emailed me (like three weeks after I sent the package), I refunded his Paypal payment. When he got the torn-up package, he emailed me and made the payment again, which I appreciated greatly. In that same timeframe, another package (I'm talking padded envelopes, not boxes) took almost a month. And that wasn't during any Holiday mailing season.
Slow mail happens.

I agree that you should leave appropriate feedback according to the service that you recieved. My fear is that I will get a negative feedback as retaliation. It seems like many sellers are holding feedback like a hostage!! I feel as soon as I pay for an item, I should get a positive feedback. I held up my end of the bargain....if they hold up their end, then they will get a positive!
I have only left one negative feedback and that was because this seller never contacted me for the shipping charges, so I never paid and I closed out the auction. This seller never sold again on ebay that I have found.
But, now I need some advice! I won an auction of an Aladdin DVD on 11/7 and paid for the item on 11/9. I waited and waited and then finally on 11/26 I sent an email (through ebay) to ask if she had sent it. She responded on 11/27 with this:
"Hi there, you should have received this by now? I am going to send a new one on monday morning, if the original should show up, just write across the package "REFUSED" and it will come back to me and won't cost you anything,
Thanks,God Bless, Becky"
So.... after I recieve this DVD (hopefully), what kind of feedback should I leave? She did respond quickly to my email.....but gosh....should it really take this long? And, I really don't believe the store of sending a new one. Why would anybody have two $20 DVD's floating out there in our reliable US Mail system!!
Give me some good advice!!
