About an hour. Maybe a little more.

We saw last July's launch from Epcot. We had just finished doing the excellent Aqua Tour when our guide rushed us outside to a cast member parking lot. A minute later, up went the shuttle. From Epcot all we could see was the rising contrail with a ball of flame at its tip. If the cloud cover allows, night viewing from Vero should be spectacular.

We were flying into Ft. Lauderdale a couple of years ago at night (for a VB visit followed by BWV), and got to see a rocket launch from KSC from the airplane. Haven't got to see a shuttle launch yet, but seeing that rocket launch from the air was pretty amazing. I'll bet the entire plane tilted to one side as everyone rushed to the windows.
