Don't Know Quite What To Think

Alright, so my cousin has some of her friends visiting from out of state and I already knew one of them but had never met the other. So the morning after they arive, I went to my cousin's room to say hi then inform my cousin that I was leaving for the week to work on several projects that I had for school. A few days later I find out that the other friend thinks I'm weird even though all I said was hi. I then later find out from my friends (they laugh when telling me this) that for people that don't know me, I can give a weird "vibe."
Ok.. Now I'm confused but I figure 'oh well, I am who I am' and my friends like me for who I am but still..
Anyone else ever have a day like this? They find out that others find them much less than normal?
I always suspected this but it still gave a bit of a shock.
