Another car bites the dust.. LOL 
Remember the car my son-in-law found for me when I was in Florida last winter - after my van had been totaled? Well - the rack is shot.. Not surprising for a '92 with high mileage - but not worth fixing either considering I'll be buying a new car once my house is sold..
My son-in-law looked so upset when he told me - like I was going to go on a crying jag or something - but I just looked at him and said, "Boy - you sure don't get much for $900 these days, do you?"
When I figured out what I paid for it - the registration & inspection - and the dirt cheap insurance - it only came out to about $125 a month or so (including the cost of the car) - far less than a rental car - so I'd say I made out just fine.. Certainly got my moneys worth out of it..
I hate driving in the winter anyhow, so I can't honestly say I'm upset.. It's just extra money in my pocket not having to pay car insurance and buy gas!
Maybe I'll use the extra money for that little villa in France that I've had my eye on..
