:sunny: I have another weather question. How reliable is accuweather in predicting the 15 forecast . I'm from Massachusetts and our weatherguys cant get it straight for the 7 day forecast . Leaving wensday of next week, just wondering when I can start packing :cheer2: Thank you leslee

I don't blame you for asking. The guys around here don't always get it right. Every night when you watch they change it a little.

They come close most of the time. My suggestion would be this...wear jeans, heavyish socks, a turtleneck with a sweatshirt over it and maybe a windbreaker if you have one. That way, when you get to WDW you will have warmer clothing. It saves room in your luggage also. You're going to need warm clothes to fly down in and to fly back home in...so this works well. And if the plane is chilly, and it always is when I fly, you have layers. You can peel them off if you get too warm. Just one piece of advice though...be sure to have a short sleeved shirt and a pr of shorts in your carryon bag. you will want to change when you get to WDW and your room may not be ready yet so you won't have access to your checked luggage. I've made the mistake of not having shorts with me and i looked like an idiot....80 degrees and I had on my jeans...almost sweated off 10 lbs that afternoon!!!

Leslee, your best bet is...like Diane said...pack layers. Check the short range forcast on orlandosentinel.com or wftv.com on Sunday and Monday to be sure.

I'm hearing that next weekend will be pretty chilly in WDW.

No flaming from me, but I do take accuweather's forecasts with a major grain of salt. There's been too many times where they've said it's sunny here while it's pouring rain outside & vice versa. :rotfl:

I'd follow the other advice given---you'd have more luck watching the wftv.com forecast no more than 3 or 4 days in advance & pack layers. Weather.com is also more accurate that accuweather, from what I've seen, but there are people who prefer one over the other. The weather is usually very unpredictable out here & this week alone has definitely proven that.

Have a good trip!

The science of this is such that anything beyond the day after tomorrow is a crapshoot, barring a satellite photo of a hurricane bearing down on Fla. If, on a Mon., the weekend forecast is for rain I'm actually happy because more often than not the reverse happen come Fri. afternoon.

Well I'm hoping Accuweather isn't very accurate because I don't like the looks of my forecast at the 10-15 days out range. Cool and rainy! :scared: We are shelling out the big bucks to stay at BC for SAB, I'm really hoping for some warmer weather so my kids can swim alot.

The last two trips down in Feb. we have had one or two warm days, followed by rain and downright cold days! So keeping our fingers crossed for some warmer, dryer weather this trip. :sunny:

Well I'm gutted!!! I looked on Accuweather a few days ago and it gave temperatures in the mid 70's early 80's for our first week and now it is rain and temperatures of 62degs!!! :confused3 Let's hope it changes. I was so excited and went out to buy another sun top, now it looks like a fleece is needed instead!

My wife and I went last September, even after being warned repeatedly that it was the worst hurricane season in a century. The accuweather forcast called for thundershowers every day we were there. The reality? Four of the warmest, sunniest days since I've been going to WDW.

:lmao: Yeah, what he said. :teeth:

But I just wanted to add that after so many days (especially the 11 - 15 day range) the forecast is more of the daily average for that particular day, not what the forecast actually is. I use it as a reference, but don't put a lot of stock in it.

Maisymom - we are going about the same time you are. Leaving on the 24th (spending the first few days in Fort Myers). Yesterday, after I read your post I went to AccuWeather and it showed weather in the low 60's ( I was bummed) Now, I checked today and it shows the week in the 70's. I like that much better. Maybe by the time we leave it will be in the 80's. (I'm keeping my fingers crossed)

I don't know why I torment myself either - I have been checking the weather since the 15-day forcasts came out. It's gone from mid-80's down to low 60's and back up to the 70's and 80's.............I guess it will be what it will be :scratchin

Since we're coming from Michigan and a predicted low of 18 this weekend  - anything above 50 will be a welcome change :thumbsup2

As it stands right now - it's "predicting" mid-to upper 70's most of the 6 days we're gonna be there (2/23-28) If it stays there - I'll be tickled :bitelip: :cool2:

grammagail: we're leaving just a few days after you are, and I've been keeping one eye on accuweather too. I view it as kind of like playing the lottery---for entertainment purposes only! :rotfl:

:rotfl2: - I see you are from Ann Arbor - so looks like you'll be bundling up this weekend too huh?

Yippee - the temperatures have gone up!! :sunny: At the moment the rain comes on the 3rd March at the beginning of our second week :scratchin , maybe it will move another week for us!

No one can predict the weather 15 days out....just impossible.

3 - 5 days is more like it

here is the local weather in Orlando, which I keep on my favorites. www.wesh.com very accurate and will help you pack

aslo if you go to www.weatherunderground.com get to Orlando then you will see a thingy called trip planner. click on that and it will give you averages...so you will have a much better idea of daily temps from years of weather tracking.
