I guess I'm the odd man out as I actually liked the meatloaf at Ariel's Grotto. Of course its been a couple of years since I had it and things could have changed.

Id never order meatloaf when I am out. An old college roommate of mine always said, "never order what you can make at home yourself." I try to follow that.

i wish they had better food (maybe shrimp) lol meatlofe i was like ewww..next time ill get fish and chips lol i cant do there burger again i just didnt like it, but it sure didnt fill like charcter lunch eatitng a burger i could get at any burger joint

Dh and I really like their fish and chips. I don't know if anyone else has had a bad experience with it, or not, but it was tasty, and I had no "side effects" if you know what I mean.

Nothing wrong with meatloaf at all, as long as it's my own. I won't eat it out anywhere because it's either dry or just plain tastes bad, so I don't take the chance anymore.

I have been to Ariel's Grooto quite a few times and have had the burger, the fish and chips and the meatloaf. I like meatloaf an Ariel's is really good. Is it like what I make at home? No. But I love trying variations. I thought it was pretty normal tasting.

I only eat my meatloaf too. LOL Even when we go to DBF's parents and his Mom makes it I barely eat any. Mine is just so much better than any other you can buy. LOL
I liked the burger, mine was quite good. I also liked the pasta, I think that is my fave so far.

I have to agree with an earlier post - the Boston Market meatloaf is great! At Disneyland, I recommed eating the "meatloaf stack" in Carnation Cafe. It has onions on top of it, and it is served on a bed of potatoes and cheddar bread. It is great!

Sherry- I agree! The Meatloaf Stack at Carnation Cafe is really good. Although I make meatloaf at home, the "stack" is a new twist on it.

You are right - homemade meatloaf is almost always better. I don't think I have tasted a meatloaf that I liked better than the one my grandmother used to make, but the meatloaf stack at Carnation in Disneyland was a nice surprise. I don't recall it being on the menu several years ago. It is stick-t-your-ribs food, for sure, and it can can get old fast. It is great to eat once on an empty stomach, but if you aren't that hungry or if you have just eaten it within a day or so prior, you can get sick of it quickly, and then it sits like a lump in your tummy. So I say once per trip is good for me!
