totally embarrassed but maybe it will help someone else...used fpass for MIB.. hot so we couldn't wait to get inside sat in back with my 5dd and dh..we were rushed to the car...grabbed a seat, grabbed my fanny pack off, threw it on the floor around my leg, looked down to see no holes in the bottom floor of the car..off we went..little did i know it SPINS very fast, a couple of times well i must have lifted my leg on 1 of the spins and when it was over. yep..it was long gone..my heart stopped. thinking of what was in there..camera, all credit cards, car keys and if we could somehow get to the resort the keys were in there too...birth certificates drivers license we had nothing...i held everything for my party of 6..the worker said "you were supposed to use the net inside the car..." i told him he never told me..he said give him a 1/2 hr. he'll call someone and to wait over there..i said i'll wait right here thanks, it was a black bag, how would they find it and i'm sure another car ran over it already...all ended well because i had a white hat attached to it..hard lesson to learn....thanks

What a heart stopper. I am glad that you got it back. I always think that I am going to be the one to loose something. Thanks for sharing your story.

Yep, use the bags in front of you to hold your loose items. If it isn't a body part attached to you or a fanny pack, put it in the bag. Otherwise, your items may fly into orbit! :)

There is a recording that tells you to put your belongings in the net, your seatbelt goes from right to left and hurry up rookies you haven't got all day.

I'm glad to hear that you got it back.

A few years ago my friend had a scare on RnRc. Since there isn't anything to put your bags in, she had her's around her leg. During the ride, she starts screaming that she lost her bag. Luckily, she didn't end up losing it. :D

Glad you got it back! I know that heart sinking feeling of losing something. DD's lanyard with her RPR room key, AP, and some money flew off her neck on Ripsaw Falls once. Fortunately it landed 2 seats behind her. We learned our lesson about tucking those things in or securing them in a bag and securing all our stuff while on rides.

My sister's straw hat flew off of Jurassic Park when we were there and hit the man sitting in back of her in the eye. He was ok, and we all got a good laugh out of it, especially when we saw that the incident had been captured on the ride photo. Now maybe she will remember to secure her lose items!

Leanne, glad you got your fanny pack back!

I'm glad you got your belongings back. I too am the "keeper of all things" for my family! I had reoccuring heart palpitations each time I rode the Mummy & reached down to find my fanny pack missing! I was so caught up in the thrill I'd momentarily forget that I'd had to put it in the locker! It got so bad that by our 5th day in the park, my DS would remind me when we entered the building. :p

I have been rushed onto MIB as well when using FOTL and I have to buckle myself and my son in and they were YELLING at me to hurry up. I yelled back, since they put us on there at the last second. There was no way you could have heard the recording, don't feel bad.

Actually that is part of the themeing. The whole "Hurry up, rookies," "Hustle, hustle! You're burning daylight" and the count down clock on the wall are all just part of the whole act. The MIB agent is supposed to be rushing you to go along with the themeing of the ride. Just like the minions on ROTM aren't really scared or insane, they just act like that.

The person loading the rookies should have made sure that all belongs were placed in the green mesh bag or on a hook. Whoever loaded her was negligent.

I wouldn't be so sure of that......:duck:

The ride was going before I got both of us buckled so I thought they were really yelling at me! I told them they should have put us on the next one. We were just filling in empty seats because there were only two of us, so we were late getting on. Oh, well, I was just getting into the theming I guess.

OMG, that is soooo wrong on their part. You were right to be upset! They are never supposed to give the "thumbs up" until everyone is secured with both the seatbelt and lapbar. You have every right to complain.

If you want to PM me with the date and times, I know "someone" who can make sure this gets to the right supervisor.
