Just wondering, has anyone had any luck with just showing up for this one? FH and I just booked our May Disneymoon three weeks ago (spur of the moment :D) and I have been calling for a week or so several times a day and they have no breakfast openings for May 16. I am going to keep calling but thought I'd ask you all too. Thanks!

You might get lucky, but chances are slim. This is one of the most popular breakfast buffets at Disney. Maybe you could be sure to wear your just married pins from the resort. You never know what extra magic they might bring. I would also mention it to the concierge at your resort and see if they can work something out for you!

Thanks, I have been. I think I called once every hour today. They kept saying oh, not for 2. Finally I asked if there were any for another size and it turns out there is. I was so bummed. I wish they could just let us have it and change the number to create two availabilities. Ugh! Try again tomorrow. I will try the pins :P Never know!

Make a ressie for 6 people or whatever an just tell them the rest of your group didnt show.

I was going to do that. Or even just say two adults and two kids and pay the extra $11 each, but the ressie is gone already. I called last night at 9:30 and then this morning at 8:05. I'll keep trying.

IMO, you are not missing out. it was the worst breakfast we ate on our last trip. Food was awful, even the kids didn't like it and they aren't exactly complainers. It was seriously LOUD, too. the only thing I really liked was the juice they served when you first got there- but IIRC, half of us didn't get coffee cups, missing silverware, and it took a while for the CM to ever show up with them.

I wouldn't hold out much hope for a walk up. I ate there shortly after they opened in '07 and saw them turning walkups away. I also ate there last May '08 and again Sept '08 and saw them again turning walkups away. Personally we really liked it. We've only eaten breakfast there, but all of my party enjoyed it.

We went last September!!! I was totally in the same boat as you. I wanted so badly to go because Donald is my favourite Disney character. I couldn't even tell you how many times I called before we left to see if there were any cancellations and any possibility that we could get a reservation - sadly we couldn't and I was really bummed out.

The morning that we planned to go to AK, I got up at 7 a.m. when the reservation desk was opened and called Disney Dining to see if there had been any cancellations. I was thrilled when they told me that they had a spot available for 8 a.m. I felt like I was the luckiest girl in the "world". My boyfriend and I got ready as fast as we could and dashed out of our hotel room to make the reservation for 8a.m. When we got there, they couldn't find our reservation! It turned out that the agent I spoke to booked me for the following day (Thursday) instead of that day (Wednesday). I was completely bummed out, but to my surprise, they accommodated us anyways and honoured our reservation.

It was the best breakfast we had during out stay there. It was buffet style and they had anything and everything!

So keep trying to make reservations but if you're unable to, call when you arrive at Disney World. I'll be keeping my fingers cross for you. Good luck!

Thanks so much! You give me hope :D I know it probably is silly, but we're both just two kids at heart and I really want to try it out. I will let you know what happens. I won't give up! :P

Are you staying CL? I couldn't get in last Nov, but the CM in our CL called the manager of the restuarant directly and got us an 8:30 am ADR for a table of 7! When I saw party of 7 and we're a party of 4 I was concerned. At the podium they said it wasn't an issue, the manager did it to get us in.

I wouldn't do this myself considering the ADRs are now linked to room reservations. If your staying CL or should you get upgraded, have them book it for you. CL offers a lot of pixie dust when it comes to hard to get ADRs :wizard:

Congrats on your upcoming wedding.

FWIW - this was the ONLY reservation on my wish list that I could not book at the 90 days mark for our upcoming trip...
