Donalds or Chef Mickeys Character Breakfast

i'm surprised at the responses.. i'm new here and we just got back from our first disney world trip last week, and we did both chef mickey's and tusker house during our stay (chef mickey's first, tusker a few days later) and at tusker house i was thinking, i want to be back at chef mickey's! maybe it's just that Animal Kingdom wasn't my fave place in general but i felt like the food choices were similar for the stuff I was looking for - well, I kind of eat like a kid so I shouldn't comment much on food selection. except no pancakes at tusker house (they did have mickey waffles though). actually, just asked DH and he says the food was better at tusker house, hands down.

although we waited WAY longer at chef mickey's to get seated, when we did get seated it was a nice table with enough space to move around and wasn't too loud in there, versus tusker house where the tables were all pretty close to each other (like if you backed up your chair too much it was hitting another chair behind you) and it was LOUD in there. maybe we just had an especially good table at chef mickey's b/c DH doesn't agree with this part either. hmmm. DH loved the food at tusker house and the atmosphere. I like the atmosphere of chef mickey's better. guess i am no help Anyway they both were fun! GL!

chef mickey's: mickey, donald, goofy, minnie in chef garb.
tuskerhouse:donald, mickey, goofy, and daisy in safari garb.
one additional note: at tuskerhouse they follow (as do most character experiences) a set path to get from table to table. chef mickey's seems to be the only one where random wandering is allowed. they may, or may not come to you depending where you're seated. if this is an important part of your meal, consider this, as you may need to allow more time here to be photographed w/ all the characters of CM.

Thx!!!! Never considered tuskers until now!! We are going in oct 1st timers!!!! It's for my daughters 5th bday!!!!

happy b-day, since she's going to be 5, here's some added info. at tusker, they do a dining room parade of sorts. she's in the age group. there are usually alot of children her age here and occasionally they run out of african instruments. there's no need to stampede, but when your server brings the basket to your area, you should direct her to go pick one out.
also, a couple years back, my toddler (sticking the instrument in his mouth) i believe picked up a cold. i don't think they sanitize them in between... i know i needn't say this, but don't forget the hand sanitizer.

Another vote for Tusker House!!

We HATED Chef Mickeys...it was loud, the food was bad, the service was lousy, and we waited forever to see the characters. I had to promise DH we'd never eat there again. LOL

Another vote for tusker house! We ate at both on our last trip and TH was 100% better hands down! We are skipping CM this time!
