Does anyone have any thoughts on this...good or bad? What do they serve? Are there many characters? Any help is appreciated!

we love donald's!! the characters there are usually donald, of course, mickey, goofy, sometimes pluto sometimes chipndale. the food is served buffet style w/a made to order omelette station. there are eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, waffles and/or pancakes, danish, donuts holes. i am sure i am leaving something out!! this is the one breakfast, besides cindy's, we really don't mind repeating. happy eating! :earboy2:

We have been twice. It is the least expensive character meal and it includes Mickey Mouse (also Goofy, Donald and Pluto). The food is average but offer good hot and cold selections.

Hot: chocolate chip and reg. pancakes, french toast, breakfast pizza, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, reg. and cheesy hashbrowns, breakfast casserole....I think I have named it all.

Cold: donuts, fresh fruit, muffins, breakfast pastries and breads, bagels, cereal and jello???...my mom thought it was jelly and smeared it all over her toast. :rotfl:

The 1st time we went the character interaction was better then the 2nd time. They were very rushed to get to each table. Both times we finished before 9am and were able to ride dinosaur 1st thing.

Yum...nothing like a little Jello on my morning toast!

We're thinking about this for our after Thanksgiving vacation. Does it get very crowded? Is it better to go 1st thing, or wait until later in the morning. How late do they do the character bfast? Thanks again for your help!

We went in May and had a great time. The characters spent enough time with us and there was enough time to get all the food we wanted. It didn't seem that busy when we first got there around 8:30 but by the time we left, it was quite full.

We love Donald's! We've been 5 times and had a great experience every time. The character interaction has always been good. We've had some servers that were more talkative and funny than others, but the service has always been good.

The food is typical breakfast buffet food, but it has always been fresh and well-stocked.

Four of our five trips, we've gotten the first available PS time (either 8 or 8:10 depending on the policy at that time) on a non-EMH day so that we were just finishing breakfast about the time that the park opened. The other trip we had breakfast at 9:30 on an EMH day. The service and character interaction were the same both ways, we just preferred dining early and finishing up when the park opened.

It can get pretty crowded and loud at Donald's, but that's never affected our experience there.

We just ate there last Sat. We try to make a PS (ADR) for an EMH morning. Then we get the last seating time, usually around 10:30 or so. The food has been still plentiful and hot. We really like this character meal. It does get a little congested in the buffet line though.
If we go in the hot months, we like to have those early morning hours to do the park. But, in the cooler months, it doesn't matter so much.

We went last December (around 10am, I think) and had a lovely time! They celebrated several birthdays with great gusto and as the restaurant became less busy, the CM's also had fun with the younger children including our DD3.

There was a good selection of both hot and cold breakfast items including fruit and cereal and everything was replenished regularly. The characters spent enough time at each table for photos, autographs, etc.

We would go back to Donald's on a future visit. :goodvibes

We were there in June and thought it was great. Food was good with a nice variety. It was pretty busy, but the characters took their time with everyone.

We went in June; aside from the 45 minute wait (with ADR), everything was great. The characters were very patient (we were a group of 10). The food was good. I loved the breakfast pizza!

Thanks everyone for your comments and tips! Much appreciated!
