Donald's Breakfastosaurus

I'm interested in hearing opinions of this character breakfast. My DS is 3 and we enjoy character meals and want to try some new ones on our upcoming trip. Since he is not interested in princesses, we have done several meals with Mickey and Pooh and I was hoping to try something new. How is the food? Thanks.

There's another post about this - you might want to take a peek. The food is OK, they have Krispy Kreme donuts - if you're a fan. The buffet line is a bit slow, they only have one side open. They have an omelet station which is good, along with standard fare like pancakes, scrambled eggs, etc. There is another station with breads, fruits and cereals. This isn't as crowded as the other buffet line. Not my favorite - wasn't very organized when we went.

We LOVE donalds. We like going early in the AM so the food is always hot and fresh and the lines were never too bad. Our waitress was so funny and interacted well with the characters who were great too. Pluto stepped on my foot and then had to really "make it up to me". It's a great way to start the day. We like it better than CM, or CP for breakfast.

I have to totally agree with Jordan's mom. We love it here! It has become a tradition with us. We do this breakfast every year our first morning at Disney. The food has always been good. The characters have been GREAT. The CM's are a hoot! They are always "up" to something. My girls are 15, 13, 10,and 5. They all like tihs breakfast better than CM and CP. Hope this helps.

We also love Donald's. We typically go late in the morning on an EE day at AK. We'll usually get to AK at 8:00 for EE and have a PS for Donald's at 9:45 or 10:00. The food is still fresh and plentiful, and the restuarant begins to empty out during our meal. This allows for more character interaction. We have never felt rushed to leave (although we make a point not to overstay our welcome) and have always enjoyed a good, fun breakfast. Another benefit is that the late, large breakfast allows us to skip lunch and have an early dinner instead.

another positive vote here!

this one was a last minute decision for my dh and i when we were there. we were waiting for AK to open, but still had an hour to go. we were hungry and they were beginning to let people in with PS. so we hopped into the line to see if we could get seated. we were called by our server, neil, and they fussed over us (honeymooners) and then led our group back to the restaurant. it was awesome being able to get pictures of the Tree of Life without anyone in it! our server was fantastic...the food was great..and the character interaction was awesome!

that's one character meal that my DH really wants to do again!

We absolutely loved Donalds - had late PSs too so no one was in the line for food. I loved the food and our server was so wonderful - I became addicted to Krispy Kreme jelly donuts and when they didn't have any more on the buffet I was crushed so she brought me out a heaping plate full from the kitchen. I am a petite veritically challenged little woman and I made a big effort to get down those donuts! I loved the characters and the costumes they wore and we had a lot of time with them too. I had so much fun with Donald and played out a little scene of signing Donald Duck is our favorite and quacking with him. Pluto was awesome too and MIckey's shirt is just so vibrant our little ones really loved touching it. It is just the best way to start a day - which is really a slow day anyways - at AK.

We always make an early PS, the food is fresh & hot, never had a long wait in the buffet lines. The characters where always wonderful too.

We love going to this character breakfast! We are usually ushered into Animal Kingdom early-as soon as the park opens and are escorted to Donalds. We are guided to our table and the buffet table is huge! There is so much to choose from and plenty of food-fresh and hot off the griddle! The characters come around and we usually see them twice before we are ready to leave. My children-the last time we went were ages, 16, and 14. We love it and make a MUST each time we go. Service is great!

Hi! After reading all of the great reviews, I made my ressies weeks ago for the Donald Breakfastasaurus...our plan is to eat an hour earlier than AK opens so we won't miss a thing! I LOVE DONALD!!!

DH and DS love this! They are going back again this year. DS loves Donald. They said the food was good too and they are both pretty picky. I arranged an early PS so they could get to AK when it opened. Got that tip off here and it was perfect for the two of them. I think that breakfast was very special for the two boys.
