We would like to try another Character Breakfast and wanted opinions on these two... We do have plans to go to AK that morning so we thought D's would be best, but it seems atleast from the menu's I found at wdwinfo that PF has a much better selection (I'm not too into eggs, bacon, sausage) prefer more variety. Can anyone help me out.. :teeth:

1900 Park Fare - there is no competition. The food variety and the character interaction we found much better. Its our favourite. I wish we had discovered it years ago.

While there is more variety at Park Fare, we personally enjoy Donald's better. We have had great experiences with them in the past.

If you plan to be at the park that morning anyway, go for Donald's. It was a fun, good quality meal and the characters & servers were great.

We like to get the first PS of the day which gets you in the park before it is open and out of breakfast right at opening time.

Never done park fare so i cant help you there.

The Breakfast at Donald's was good, the food was nice, was very noisy.
I wouldn't do this one again 1. i think if you go back to Florida It's nice to try some where new.
2. I personaly found that the overall feeling from are waiter was that he wanted us to hurry up. I dont like to be rushed and i dont feel as there was enough interaction from the characters. Just felt like an odd atmosphere, this may be my personal feeling but that's how i felt.

Ime going to make a ADR for BOMA at Animal Kingdom Lodge the morning we go to AK. Have had a lot of good reviews on this Resaurant so we will try this as something new.

After 2 recent poor experiences at Donald's on 2 separate trips, we have decided we won't be returning. As a previous poster stated - it had a poor atmosphere -

After waiting about 45 minutes to be seated (& we had an ADR during Value Season) in a half empty restaurant (they would only seat us at a 2-top table even though there were MANY empty 4-top tables throughout the restaurant) we were herded into the restaurant like cattle with several other families. We were not given the opportunity to order drinks for some time - the server just automatically brought everyone orange juice (which I cannot drink) & seemed really miffed when anyone wanted something different.

We were yelled at by our server at one meal for going to the buffet when the characters were several tables away. It was crazy. We both left the restaurant very frustrated that we spent money to be treated so poorly. We decided to bypass this meal in the future & just hop over to Boma for breakfast on our AK morning. This breakfast is delicious & much more relaxing. Donald's is the only character meal where we've felt like this.

I've heard nothing but rave reviews on 1900 Park Faire, we haven't been there because the characters don't appeal to us. :)

We'll be at Donald's for the first time in two days ( ), so I can't offer an opinion on it yet. But we LOVE Park Fare. On the other hand, that's quite a ways from AK... I guess my feeling is, how bad could it be? :sunny: But do try Park Fare sometime!

We went to Donald's twice last year - once in January and once in October. In January our ADR was late, like 10 AM, but that morning it POURED rain. We were all soaked before we even got on the bus to go to AK. The park wasn't even open yet when we got there, so I decided to say we had an ADR and proceed to the restaurant. We DID have an ADR, just not for another hour or so! They seated us immediately, brought us towels, and were absolutely terrific the whole time. We loved it! Food, service, & characters were great!

In October we had a late ADR on an early entry day. We checked in about 9:50, had our photo taken, and were seated right after that. Our table was in a back corner so that wasn't great. Our server wasn't rude, but she wasn't great, either! Characters were good - we got to see all of them.

We also did breakfast at Park Fare in October. We liked the food, but the buffet line is a funny shape and it is difficult to manuever through there. Some woman yelled at DH to get out of her way, but she was blocking him in! Our server there was OK, nothing fabulous. Food was good. Characters in the dining room were Alice, Mad Hatter, Tigger, and maybe Pooh - I can't remember about Pooh for certain. Anyway, it was good, but I wouldn't drag myself all the way to the GF from AK. If you are staying at GF then go to Park Fare. Otherwise go to Donald's!

We will go back to Donald's in August, but we'll go to the 8 AM seating instead of trying to go late.

I vote for Donalds Breakfast!!!! I was debating about going there because of some bad posts BUT I'm glad we went because we enjoyed the antics of the waiters/waitresses. Each of the characters spent a good deal of time at each of the tables. I'm sure you'll enjoy either one.

OK...Here is my 7 cents!

I usually try and mix things up every year and try somewhere new! My brother and his wife goes to Donald's Breakfast every year. We thought we would try it!

First - When we got there, there were a lot of people complaining that the wait was too long. They were about 30 minutes behind on the PS.

Second - When we finally got in the place, the food was always empty. There are two lines and neither had bacon, eggs, pancakes, etc. It was very unorganized.

I would never eat at Donalds again!

I truly love 1900 Park Faire. There are characters there you don't always see. The Grand Floridian is a very nice resort and its one monorail stop from the MK.

Here's what we do!

We book the 1900 Park Faire. Pay the $7 to valet the car (you'll know why later). Eat breakfast. Enjoy the Hotel. Go to the MK for the day. At the end of your day, the valet brings your car to the front of the hotel. No trams to get on! No trying to find your car! Plus, if you decide to leave the MK, you can always valet your car somewhere else and you don;t need to pay on that day! Maybe book the Clam Bake Dinner at the Beach Club and then head to Epcot for the fireworks!

Sorry for so much detail!

Hope this helps!

Although we were treated like Cattle. Donalds BKFST was really enjoyable. We didn't feel rushed, our server was great with drinks, the characters spent a decent amount of time at each table ect. We had an ADR for 8 am.

We've been to Donald's 3 times and never had any complaints, it is fabulous. Great variety of food and the CMs are very helpful and funny too. They brought us endless refils of chocolate milk. The characters wear cute safari outfits and spent plenty of time with us, and we were a group of all adults. My 65 year old aunt got big hugs from Mickey and Donald and there was plenty of time for pictures. Can't wait to go back in 19 days!

I was hoping to go to 1900 Park Fare ,leaving AK at 5 OM...we dont drive,so I was going to get Disney transport - will there be a bus from AK to The Grand Floridian ?If we leave park at 5 ,can we expect to reach hotel for 6 PM sitting?

Thanks,
Lynn
