So, give me the low down....is Donald's Breakfast at AK really worth it? We are two twenty-something kinda newlyweds, and we're thinging about eating there. Should we? Should we stear clear and pick some place else? How is the atmosphere? Is it as rushed as I keep hearing? Mind you, we're going at the end of September, and we're using the dining plan. We're mainly looking for neat places to eat that we have not been to before. I am open to suggestions. The whole free dining plan is fun because I can pick extra Table Services Meals, but it is so hard to pick.... :rolleyes2

Thanks,

If you are not traveling with children, I'd skip this breakfast. It's pretty noisy in there. If you still want to try a character meal, I can suggest the one at Yacht/Beach Club. DH and I did that one for our honeymoon and really enjoyed it. :flower:
If you are traveling with children, they'd probably enjoy Donalds' breakfast. I know our kids do and it's a regular stop for us now. Be aware that the entire dining experience can take at least an hour though.

If you were traveling with kids I would also suggest that it is great. But if you are not interested in the characters than it isn't really anything special. The food is good but not anything special. I didn't feel rushed. The waitress was really nice and came to take pics of the whole family everytime a character came near us.

We ate breakfast at Donalds last May and didn't care for it. We had a late seating, and they were already breaking down one of the buffet lines, which lead to long lines. The cold buffet was sparse. I didn't think the food was very good at all. Service was brisk...never a refill or any service at all. Character interaction took forever and then was brisk when they finally arrived. Not a great experience for us....we won't be back anytime soon!

We had a very early seating and felt very rushed. The food was ok, I didn't really think there was an "atmosphere" there since it's a CS place with McDonald's nuggets and WDW burgers during the non breakfast time. In your situation, I'd skip this one. Sorry

We had the last seating when we went and it was great. It was late enough (10:30 I think) That it kept us pretty full till dinner time. We really enjoyed the food and didn't feel rushed and since it was the last seating no one was waiting to come in. The interaction with the charecters was great but several familys allowed their children to runup to the charecters while they were at other tables. The CM was pretty good at getting them back to their table but parents need to be more respectful of others. The kids can't help it, the parents should!

We were there the week of Easter (very busy) and we were not rushed at all. The food was very good and hot. If you are interested in a character meal with these character's, then I think it is worth it. If not, wait until you have kids with you and pick somewhere more quiet.

I am so excited to go there now. It will be my first time eating there and I Love Donald.

Thanks for the tips!

I ate there with my daughters (9&7). We had to wait a bit to sit, even with PS. But, once inside I thought their was a good selection of food and it was pretty good. Didn't feel rushed.

we ate there on DH's birthday as he loves donald. Food was real good and hot. Plenty to eat. Characters spent plenty of time. We had a late seating 10:30am but did not feel rushed. It was very enjoyable and we look forward to going back. But we love Chef Mickey's too.

Dh and I love this breakfast. We eat there every time we go to WDW. We ate there a couple of times before we had kids, actually I think we ate there twice on our Honeymoon. We always either just walked in or made late reservations. We always try to eat there late so that it fills us for lunch as well. I think the food is great. Its typical breakfast foods but very yummy! I have never felt rushed at all, quite the opposite actually. My only complaint (and its not a big deal) is that Donald takes FOREVER to get to your table. At least that has always been the case for us. So we are finished eating and just sitting waiting for Donald.
