Donalds Breakfast @ AK

Hi,
We just ate there for the first time and thought it was pretty good. I have two boys, 8 & 13. There are two buffet areas, the cold one was full of fruit, cheeses, hard cooked eggs, pastries, bagels and cereal. The hot one had eggs, two kinds of hash browns, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, pancakes, french toast, you name it, it was there. Not sure of the cost, we used it as a dining credit. We were seated in a smaller room, like a big tent, so it was fairly quiet. I have heard the larger room gets pretty noisy. There were a lot of small kids there but also some couples with no kids, it 's fine for everyone. We liked it and would go again.

We ate there in May. We won't be returning. We had one of the last seatings of the morning. The food was cold and the buffet was not replentished. The character interaction was minimal.

We ate there in August and enjoyed ourselves. We had an ADR before park opening, but it took us probably 20 minutes additional to be seated and then a good hour plus to see all the characters. Once the characters got to us, they were quick, but it was an hour before we saw the first one. Me, my DH and 2 boys all found food we liked. We liked the food much better than the PSB breakfast in Epcot. When we went to WDW last week, we skipped Donald's but found ourselves missing it. We ate our TS on our AK day at Boma (AKL), and the boys loved it.

We love Donald's. We've had breakfast there 5 times and have had a great experience every time. Our sons have varied in age from 9 & 11 on our first visit to 13 & 15 on our last visit. We've had the first seating of the day (either 8am or 8:10, depending on the time of year) 4 of the 5 times. We've never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes to be seated. And, once seated, we've never had to wait more than a few minutes for the characters to start coming around.

Every time we've been, the buffet has been well stocked and clean. All the food has been fresh and hot. It's typical breakfast buffet food, nothing fancy, but still good.

The character interaction has been good every time we've been. Some of our servers have been better than others, but we've never had bad service at Donald's.

We can't wait to go back again.

We ate at Donald's in August and we all liked it. Our server helped out to, in the fact that he played "games" with us. Something about adults getting picked on goes along with everyone. We have plans to do this again in June also.

I have eaten there every time we go to Disney - we like it - but make sure you have an early breakfast as said before - there is more choice of food. It is a fun place to eat. My daughter is 13 and still wants to go back so it must be a hit with the older kids. :thumbsup2
