Which ADR time would you pick? We're going the last week of Sept during Free Dining. Both are available, and I need to choose one quickly. Cast is me, DH, and our 6 year old triplets. I will be the only one riding EE.

Thanks!

The times are so close together that I can't imagine this being such a major decision that you need help/advice.

Once you've asked for opinions though, I'll give you mine...

I think both times stink. I don't know how early the ADRs start, but I'd recommend getting one either NO LATER THAN 7:15am or sometime after 10am.

The reason is this:

Parks generally open at 9am. This is your absolute best time of the day to be in the parks. The smartest thing you can do is plan ahead which two rides in the park are most important to you (best to find two which are fairly close together). When the park opens at 9am, grab a fast pass for the first one immediately. You'll get a FP time of around 9:30am. Now run to your second ride and get on the normal line. You'll have a wait of no more than 10 minutes. Once you finish the second ride it'll be almost time to use the FP on the other one. MANY OF THE RIDES WILL HAVE 60 MINUTE+ WAITS WITHIN 30-45 MINUTES OF WHEN THE PARK OPENS! The best way to get on the rides quickly (and without having to get FP times 3 hours away) is to hit the best rides as soon as the park opens.

Assuming you don't want to eat breakfast at 7am, I'd recommend hitting a few rides first and then having a leisurely 10am breakfast.

I did mine for 8:00. I think Donald's with young ones will take awhile. The buffet lines are a little long and I don't know about you but I need to go through it twice just to get both myself and my dd3 our food. But by 6 I would think your triplets could get there own food or at least hold there plane so it might not take so long. I would still say 8:00 so you can get out of there quickly and get over to EE ride it and then head to the Safari. You might want to have your DH and triplet head over to the Safari and get fast passes while you are on EE.

I Personally Would Chose 830 Becuase It Gives You A Little Extra-time. However If You Are Really Earlier Risers And Are Ready To Leave Your Room By 7 Am ,then Making An 8am Adr Wouldn't Be A Problem And Give You A Litle More Time After Breakfast Before Park Get S Fuller To Do Popular Attractions. My Self Personally Likes To Sleep Later On Vacation. We Always Get A 1030 Adr. If For Some Reason We Wake -up And Go Earlier We'll Go On A Few Rides And Grap A Fast-pass For Right After We Eat.

I just noticed your comment about EE. My kids and I handled it a little different with that ride. We ran to EE as soon as the park opened (along with seemingly every other person who entered the park :rotfl2: ).

We grabbed a FP for it immediately, then got on the normal line. The line took about 15 minutes at 9am. Once we got off of EE, we got right back on via the FP. We rode it twice before 9:30am!!! By 9:30am the standby line was already 90 minutes and the FP times were 3-4 hours ahead.

I'm not sure if it'll be less busy when you are there, since it was Spring Break time for us, but you will be waiting a LONG time for that ride if you don't either ride it, get a FP, or both as soon as the park opens.

Keep in mind that if you get a FP for it and have a 3 or 4 hour wait for the FP time, then you can't get any other FPs during that time.

Well, one ADR get us out around 9am at park opening, and the other would have us finish around 9:30am. I was asking because I've never been in late Sept and needed to know if 30minutes at that time of year would make a big difference with crowds. So, yes, I did need help and advice.

BTW, the earliest ADR at Donalds is 8am.

Thank you for the additional info on EE. That information definitely makes me lean towards the 8am ADR so we're out in time (or at least I can leave the b'fast at 9am) to go ride EE while DH takes the kids to TriceraTop Spin or the Boneyard.

Thanks to all for the quick responses. I picked the 8am ADR, and if we're not quite done with b'fat at 9am, DH says he'll stay with the kids and take them to Triceratop Spin while I go ride EE! :cool1:

Most of the TS meals at Disney tend to last about 90 minutes (especially when you have kids), which is why I commented that the 8:00am time was too late.

Your plan is actually a good one though now that I think about it. If you can get yourself out in an hour, then the rest of the family can continue to eat while you're on the ride and they won't have to be waiting outside for you.

I think so too. They'll love the Bone Pit and Triceratops Spin. I might make it back to ride that with them by the time they finish eating and stand in line. appreciate the help!

I know this is off-topic, but after reading this post I have another comment...

The Triceratop Spin is surprisingly a lot more intense than it looks (even from when you're watching it right next to you).

EE is not quite as intense as it is made out to be in the commericals.

I'd classify the two as pretty much equal in terms of intensity (with EE being maybe only slightly scarier because it goes backwards for a few seconds). Both rides are great, but I'd be careful about putting your kids onto the Triceratop Spin if they aren't into thrill rides. If they can handle the Spin, I think they can also handle EE.

Any Fast Pass Is Good Anytime After The Times Listed. So If Your Fast Pass Says Come Back Betweem 915-1015. You Can Come Back At Say 1230 And Do Ride.

Ok, I'm definitely thinking of the WRONG ride! My kids are very timid. What's the one that's like Dumbo but with a dinosaur?

OMG, I just looked it up and you are correct. I was thinking of Primeval Whirl. It's a roller coaster that looks like it's made for toddlers, but it's actually very jerky and you feel like you might fall off. The word "spin" made me think it was the one you were talking about because there's a section fo the coaster where you spin in circles while it's moving along the track.

I'm really sorry for the confusion.

You are right... it is Triceratop Spin. Formernyer is thinking of Primeval Whirl I think.

Whew. :rotfl: With my timid 3, my DH would think I was nuts for sending him to a roller coaster that SPINS! Ok, well I *WILL* send him to the Triceratops Spin then.

Yeah, I realized that and corrected myself on the other page.
