Don’t worry you can get reservations on board!

It really depends on the the ship and length of cruise . I am assuming you're talking Palo brunch which can be hit or miss depending on the number of sea days and the number of Platinum members onboard. If you get there first in line you have a shot at it but there have been a couple of cruises where we couldn't get a reservation because we booked GTY after the PIF date even though we are Platinum. We were a little late for the Palo line on the ship.

This. Put in on Day 1 for Palo Brunch on a 7 day Fantasy cruise but it never came free. (We were trying to switch out our Remy Brunch. Truth is, I'm glad we were not able to book Palo. The Remy experience was excellent (and we had already done Palo before.)).

I guess it helps I have 3 sea days too

We just got off a 5 day with 3 sea days and were unable to secure a Palo brunch. We had a number 1 boarding headed straight to Azure and were number 3 on a wait list for brunch and was never called. We were able to get a dinner and mixology tho

Curious since you had Boarding Group 1 which is Platinum - did you book very late after things were open for everyone? Weird that a Platinum could not get brunch on their 120 day mark.

A little tip for people trying to secure brunch reservations. Requests for the private dining room are confirmed by Disney around 29-30 days out from sailing. Once confirmed, anyone participating in a private group brunch will have any existing brunch reservations automatically cancelled by Disney since you can only reserve one brunch in advance of sailing.

What that means is that 29-30 days out is a good time to stalk the website for brunch openings. On our upcoming Panama Canal cruise a lot of people were finally able to secure brunch reservations when the private dining bookings were confirmed.

I cruised the Dream in September for a 4 night sailing. Palo brunch as sold out when I was online booking (Silver at the time, will be Gold for next cruise in September 2020, if that matters at all due to booking windows), so I went to Enchanted Garden after embarkation day lunch to try and snag a reservation. A rep. from Remy was filling in at the Palo table, and he was only able to put me on a waitlist as there was "no availability" at that time and had to wait to see if any cancellations would occur (to his credit it was crazy down there with people and all sorts of requests, he may have been slightly overwhelmed and I do not blame him!).

However, when I went to Palo for dinner the first night and spoke to the actual rep. at the host/hostess station at Palo's entrance, she was able to get me a reservation for brunch right away as there was much availability. So it all depends I guess. If I did not ask about the brunch again at dinner that night, I may have just remained on the waitlist and possibly would not have gotten to experience brunch at all. Brunch was excellent but I do prefer the dinner service at Palo more.

did you just come off the wonder with me??? Brunch had so many open chairs I was wondering why there wasn't availability. We ran right to Azure too and got it...so weird.

We were on your cruise too and could not secure brunch. We were in boarding group 12, waited for a half hour in Azure just to be told there was nothing available and would be placed on a waiting list. By the time we arrived at FQ Lounge to sign up for tastings, they were booked up as well.

They don't fill all the tables at any given time. This allows more personal service from the servers in Palo to each of their tables.
