I am now in official awe of you. That must be so time consuming. So, you do little gradients for each section of clothing? How do you figure out shadows and stuff? (I'm just asking to hear myself type. I don't really expect an answer because it would be over my head...). I was wondering where you got all your great clipart that is so different than everything else.

I've been "coloring" for years. Coloring books are a great, cheap source of pics. The basic coloring does not take too long. The shading/airbrushing......that's another story!

Dom, I knew you had been coloring your own. I did a few coloring book pages awhile back and it just seemed I couldn't get the colors to look right so I really admire you and Natalie's work. For awhile I was thinking Natalie might be using PinPics or something but when she posted these large clear images with the shading I knew she must be doing it herself!!

That shading and airbrushing. I won't even go there. You all are real artists!

Penny, The coloring itself is easy. You can do that by just selecting an area and filling it with color. It's the shading I'm amazed at. And the ability to get the right colors. Especially for the characters faces, hands, etc.

All of you disigners are just awsome. I just got photoshop and am playing. I am not near as creative as the disigners on this site but I like playing with m pictures and would like to learn how to disign as well. When you talk about coloring books you are just using coloring book pictures that you get at the store for kids to color???? I know that is probably the stupidest question any one has ever asked you. (I never said I was the brightest crayon in the box ) Where do you all go to find the clipart???

Yes, I am talking about kid's coloring books. I have a collection I've built over the last 15 or so years. I use them primarily where I work to teach kids how to draw and play a game called "Name That 'Toon". I don't really do any designing as I don't really have the time. Over the years I've amassed clip art of some of the rarer/harder to find characters, like Clarabelle Cow, that I've used in my game. I try to share them with the DISigners here and also my knowledge of Adobe Photoshop Elements.
