DW and I are going home to OKW in the end of July? We are interested in the Dolphin experience.
? Is the doplhin tour at Epcot a wothwhile experience?
Is there a discount on the cost for DVC members?
Any other thoughts and exeperinces are welcomed.
I did the Dolphins in Depth three years ago. I enjoyed the experience very much. You go in the water with the dolphins but you don't actually swim with them. They show you where and how they train them. It is a very interesting tour. I think they have a DVC discount.
We did the dolphins in depth in Jan. 2003 - at the time I booked they were advertising for a short time dvc members buy 1 get second at 1/2 price. It was just the incentive I needed for my son and I. It was worth every penny! I thought of it as a once in a lifetime experience and because it was such a great price and they had just changed the age from 16 to 13 (which he had just turned) it called to me. I think the usual discount is 10 or 15% but we learned a lot and if you know that you are only in the water for 30 minutes - you get to rub the dolphins, get to give them hand signals for tricks etc., it is truly a memorable experience. You might also want to check out Discovery Cove at Sea World - they have a dolphin experience also.
