Dolphin to AK

I really want to make it to AK for the opening during one day of our trip. How much time should I allow to drive from the Dolphin to AK? I'm looking for the total time including parking, tram ride, everything to the front gate.

Also, do they allow you to enter the park and go through the Oasis before the park opens and wait for a rope drop or something? Can you tell I really want to ride EE?! If they do, how much time should I tack on to get to the rope?

The drive itself to AK is 5-10 min. Parking & tram might add 15 min. So let's say 1/2 hour.

When we were there last month we got to the gates just before opening and were allowed up over the bridge to await rope drop. Then followed the mad rush to EE!!
