I know about the DC swim with the dolphins.

In the Frommer 2000 guide, a swim is mentioned in general attarcations at Sea World. Then they also mention the more specific swim at DC.

I'm confused.

Is thee a swim in Sea World and a swim at DC?

There used to be a dolphin swim at Sea World, but it was discontinued when Discovery Cove opened.

Well that's what you get for using those mainstream, once-over-lightly guidebooks. ;)

Actually, the original Dolphin Encounter at Sea World was a pale foreshadowing of the current attraction at Discovery Cove. It was a "backstage" experience in a training tank with none of the marvelous tropical themeing of the current DC experience.
