Dolphin suite question

I'm sorry if this has already been asked but I'm just getting the hang of posting here. I know theres a way to search topics but I'm still figuring that out!

We'll be staying at the Dolphin with extended family in a few weeks and we're supposed to be in a suite. I've read of the renovations and I read of someone's recent experience with a non-renovated suite. He or she said that the sofa bed didn't have a mattress and there were other problems.

Would any folks here know more about the suites and the renovations that they could share with us?

I looked into getting a suite at the Dolphin, but ended up at the Swan because of availability. My Dreams Unlimited travel agent said the Dolphin renovations were almost complete. I also read the post about the suite in poor conditions and recall that it was someone who got a regular room for $70/night through Priceline and was upgraded to that suite because of some other problems, as well as a $50 room credit. I'm guessing that was a suite that they normally wouldn't use except in extreme circumstances.

If you get there and your suite isn't up to par, let them know and they'll move you, perhaps to an even bigger suite.

I re-read the post on the difficulty with the suite and the poster said it was on the 7th floor I believe. I've read that renovations are higher than that floor so perhaps you are right swilphil, it may be a room not normally used.
