We will be splitting our stay between the Dolphin and Boardwalk next Nov. We will probably not have a car. Any ideas on how to get our luggage from the Dolphin to the Boardwalk? Also, does anyone know the current teacher rate at the Dolphin? Thanks.
The Teacher's Rate is $129. Dolphin is not managed by WDW so they don't send or receive luggage from other WDW resorts in a 'swap'. I'd call both hotels for their ideas on this. I doubt you're the first they've seen doing this. Is this Nov. 2002 or 2003? We'll be @Dolphin 11/8 - 11/16 this year.
we tend to schelp our own bags where ever we go....all those tips add up you know ! I can't imagine it would be bad at all to just take them....as long as the big bags have wheels.
Have you considered splitting your stay between an Epcot resort and a MK resort ? Just idle curiosity
You could also get a taxi to take you from one resort to another. That's what a lot of people who split stays and don't have a car do. I have heard of Dolphin transferring luggage to a Disney resort on a few rare occasions, so it wouldn't hurt to ask. If that doesn't work, it shouldn't cost more then $10 to cab it.
Thank you for your quick replies! We will be arriving at the Dolphin on Nov. 22. Sorry we will miss you Bill. I am anxious to stay there for the first time. We love the Epcot resorts! We are DVC members but I don't want to use all our points in Nov. so we are starting off at the Dolphin before going over to BWV. Judy - thanks for the suggestion to start at a MK resort. But we spend much more time at Epcot and MGM. My daughter who is 9 would live in the Tower of Terror if they let her!
I just e-mailed Disney's online quest services with the same question. Except we are transfering from the CR to the Dolphin. The disney CM told us no problem. However if you are going from the Dolphin to the BW that may be a different story.
The BW is just around the corner from the Dolphin. All the resorts on property (All are Disney-owned w/exception to the Dolphin/Swan) work with each other and assist each other with as much as possible. The BW will arrange to pick you up/transfer your luggage via a van/golf cart, especially when you inform them you are moving from one Disney property to another. The Dolphin is ON Disney Property & IN the Magic...just not Disney-owned. Please call the BW resort directly and explain your trepidation. The guest services/bell desk will be more than pleased to set your fears to rest. We have done this same thing w/many resorts-switching from Dolphin to Disney Resort-and back again! No problem. They all share a vital symbiotic relationship, and the resorts all work TOGETHER! Enjoy!
