What do you see with a resort view room? Can you see the fireworks at Epcot or MK in these rooms? Has anyone ever had a limited view room and how limited was the view? Thanks
We just had a room where we got an upgrade to a resort view room and had a balcony. It was the 3rd floor in the West Wing, room 172 & 174 (we had 2 rooms)
Our room faced the Boardwalk but had a view of another side of the hotel straight across. To our right was the Swan and you could see the EPCOT fireworks pretty good
We had a resort view and could see the Boardwalk and MGM's Tower of Terror. It was a very pretty view. We couldn't see fireworks as far as I know, but we weren't in our room during that time.
Here's the view we had in April 2001 at the Swan, resort view, view of crescent lake, balcony room:
In February 2002 from our balcony at the Dolphin (resort view, view of crescent lake-you can see Spaceship Earth and the fireworks from Illuminations):
Last summer 2003 (same description, room with a balcony):
As you can see, there are many possibilities, and all of them are good!
I just returned from the Dolphin. We were in the East wing - 8th floor balcony room with an unobstructed view of Spaceship Earth. We saw Illuminations perfectly! We could hear the music, too. This was an awesome view room!
Thanks everyone, I'm definately going to go for resort view with balcony. The last time we went, we stayed at the Poly and had a view of the MK fireworks everynight, it was awesome.
