Is there such a thing? I know that this has been discussed at times but some say there is no such thing and others swear they stayed in one. Going next month and would like to know if this is even something to request.

If not, what would you go for - Jr. Suite or a balcony? We are SPG Gold members (plus the new AAA status) and have enough points (and a little more) to get Club Level but would like a Jr. Suite for the room and a balcony for...well, the balcony! It will be our first stay at the Dolphin so any and all advice would be GREATLY appreciated (and needed!)!!!!!

I'm not sure about the Dolphin - we had a Jr. Suite with balcony at the Swan and received it as a comp upgrade. I assume that since the Swan has them - wouldn't the Dolphin?

I would definitely go with the Jr. Suite. The balconies aren't very big at all, at least on the regular rooms. With the suites you get a whole other room!
