Does anyone know the prices of the photo/video packages they offer at Dolphin Discovery in Cozumel? Do they accept US dollars?

Not sure if this helps, but we did the dolphin royal swim at chakanaab park on Cozumel 2 years ago and our photo video package for 3 people was $169.00 and we paid on a credit card, I do believe they take us dollars but I had a credit card just in case. In our case they prefered a credit card.

:scared1: Those prices are insane!!! Are you allowed to bring your own camera? I have one of the Olympus waterproof point and shoots and would love to bring that instead of paying all that money.

Of course I will probably end up paying it anyway. :lmao: Dangle pictures of my kid in my face and I fold every time. :goodvibes

You can bring your own camera but they make you keep it on the dock and there is water splashing and stuff, we talked about doing that also, till we saw that the dock got wet. We didnt want to risk the camera getting ruined. It is completely overpriced, no doubt about it, but the pics they took were very very good. they were all in photo mattes and they are all 8x10 size. We got about 8 pictures and the dvd that was edited with music. No matter how you look at it.... and how nice it was, it was overpriced.

Each person will be presented with 2-8.5x6's and 1-10x6. They will try to sell you individual pictures as follows:
8.5x6 = $15 each
10x6 = $20 each

OR

If you want a DVD+pictures package, they'll punch some numbers into a calculator and give you a price. We had a group of 5 in the Dolphin Encounter and 1 person in the Dolphin Swim, and they initially gave us a package price of $200 or $220 (can't remember exactly). We were able to negotiate the price down to $180 for the 2 DVD's and 18 pictures. They told us not to tell anyone about our "deal".

I never inquired about purchasing the DVD separately, so I don't know the price if you just want the DVD without pictures. The picture quality is great. The DVD quality is not too good, but if this is your once-in-a-lifetime dolphin experience, it would be worth purchasing. We used our credit card for the transaction.

Thanks for the info. It's good to know that there is some wiggle room with the price. And yes, I know I will end up purchasing the DVD and the pictures. :goodvibes

DH will go :scared1: but I'll prep him ahead of time so that he doesn't freak when he hears the price. And besides, this was his idea. Seriously, he insisted on the Royal Swim so he better pony up for the photos. :rotfl2:
