Has anyone stayed here? I have been planning for the past year (I know, I'm an over planner but I can't help it) to go to WDW. I had hotel, all my dining choices, park days, off Disney property, everything planned out. But it was going to be $4000+ for 10 days. I just can't see spending that much money. So we are going to go to DL instead. I can stay at dolphin cove at $0 cost to me :) (thanks mom) does anyone know is this is a nice place to stay? Descriptions online are not always what they seem and nobody in our family has used this timeshare location yet.

TIA

Haven't stayed there, but we are Worldmark owners. It's just too far away from the parks for us to consider it. It's a pretty long walk, so I would take ART (anaheim resort transit), but with any shuttle schedule, it's not in your control. Is there availability at Worldmark Anaheim? It's the newer of the 2 places and we stayed there a few weeks ago and it was really nice. We did have to use ART, but it is closer to the parks than Dolphin's Cove. And, it's VERY convenient to the new Anaheim Gardenwalk, which has lots of restaurants and things to do.

If your mom can get into Dolphin Cove, could she get you into the Sheraton Vistana Resort at WDW which is 1 mile off property? I'm an owner there. You'd need a rental car, but your cost to go to WDW would be dramatically reduced.

We stayed there in November and were pleasantly surprised, its not the very nicest place ever but it was great for us. We loved having a kitchen to prepare meals in. The ART was a bit unreliable but it worked fine for us and taught us some patience. I probably wouldnt have walked but it seemed safe enough to if you wanted to. The pool area is well kept, the laundry area was always available. We had a problem with ants but it was quickly taken care of by the staff. Let me know if you have any other questions. :)

I would ask your Mom if she can get you into Worldmark Anaheim as previously suggested, it's much closer then the Dolphin Cove.

Thank you so much for the replies :) I think we will try for the worldmark Anaheim. It's more points, but my mom never uses her points anyway.

Thanks again everyone :)

We're WM owners and have stayed at Dolphin's Cove twice. It isn't the fanciest WM property we've stayed at, but it was really nice to have that full kitchen available and have all the space. It actually is not technically a full WorldMark property (I think), meaning WorldMark only owns a few units. Anyway, I would definitely stay there again, although next month we are trying out the Anaheim one, just to compare. The Anaheim one is about twice as many points, so that does make a difference. We just drove to the park. It was easier for us to do that. We'll do that again this time. Anyway, to answer the question, yes, it is a great place to stay, especially for free!
