I'm considering doing the club level at the Dolphin for our October trip. It's an extra $70 per day. Anyone have any experience with it? Worth it or not? Pics of the lounge?

privleges the last time we stayed at the Dolphin but did not actually stay on the Club Level as we wanted a balacony with a great view of Epcot (and we got it!). We mainly used the Club Level room for breakfast. It was great to have such access to this but it is not worth $70. We did go by in the afternoon for snacks a few times but it was always full of "corporate types" there for a convention and they never looked too pleased to see families with kids. The Club Level is a nice plus if you can use SPG points or get an upgrade but I do not think it is worth that kind of money. Be sure to become a SPG member as that can help with upgrades.

We LOVE the Dolphin and would go back in a second!

We've got SPG points as we have stayed at both the Dolphin and Swan once before. I'll try to get the upgrade instead of shelling out the dough. $70 did seem excessive.

Hi Slapster

We've stayed at the Swan and Dolphin club level. Personally I wouldn't pay $70 a night extra for it. It's simply not worth it. I'd rather spend $70 on a nice meal or breakfast every day. If it was perhaps $10-20 extra then I'd get it.

On our last trip at the Dolphin we used our points to upgrade to club level. With a room rate of $169 and an awsome view we couldn't go wrong. :)

I will make a comment about the club level's though. I found the club level at the Swan much much nicer and friendlier. Thabo at the Swan is simply fabulous. The Dolphin club level seemed a lot stuffier and much more corporate (not what I would expect on a family Disney vacation). If I had to choose I'd stay Swan club level hands down.

We stayed club level but we would not pay more than $25 extra per day. $70 will pay for a very nice dinner.

Thanks for the advice! Actually almost every meal we had in WDW totalled at or close to $70. It became a running joke betwixt my wife and I. How much was the bill? - What do you think? $70!
