Funny, last week a fellow teacher asked me to help plan his family's first Disney trip, a week later I go and book my own trip.

Anyway, called the Dolphin and booked a deluxe balcony, Epcot view like we had last Easter. They told me they also had available for only $25.00 more per night the Club level, but that those rooms don't have balconies.
Now, I do love sitting out there at night and in the morning, but the reservationist said the Club level was really grand. Anyone have an opinion on these rooms, and also, is the Club room the same size, and on every floor?
Thanks,

I can't say that I have seen the rooms on club level...because I haven't. When faced with the same decisions you are trying to make, I opted for the balcony and never regretted it. I love sitting out there with my morning coffee and once I was even up early enough to watch the sunrise over Epcot. However I think the next time i go I may want to try a suite. I know I probably won't get a balcony but I have to try it just once to see which I actually prefer more. If you decide on the club level, one plus is that you will be higher up and you can get some great views up there.
Its a tough choice but I'm sure you'll enjoy whichever you choose.
Happy planning!!

Oh, almost forgot.... I do think the club rooms are the same as other rooms unless you reserve a suite

A club level room is the exact same size as the main house rooms, such as your balcony room.

The difference between the two, is your access to the Club Lounge, which offers you continental breakfast and light hordouves in the evenings.

If you think you will use the lounge for breakfast it will probably be worth the extra $25 a night.

Personally, I would take the balcony--just a matter of preference.

Happy planning!

I'm all about the balcony too!

We used it every morning, afternoon and night!

A balcony adds to the living space of your hotel room. It also allows some quiet time for those who do not want to listen to the TV at night. I think this is the reason I shy away from the moderate resorts, as I was very unhappy when I stayed at the newly opened Caribbean Beach, after being used to the Poly.
I would ALWAYS pick a balcony, and try to envision where I would like to be room-wise (example: request a lower floor if heights are not your thing; or request a particular sight that's important to you: the YC lighthouse for instance). The CMs work with your request and try their best. Good luck and have a great vacation. All the best, Wilma:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Thanks for the replys. Last year our trip was sooooooo nice with the Epcot view and balcony. It wasn't until the reservationist was telling me about the nice club room I could have that I began to think I should change, but I think I'll take everyones advise and take what I know is a great think.
I am so glad that I decided 5 days at Disney was better than none for spring break. I go into school smiling all day!:D
