Dolphin beds

I was reading somewhere on line that the Dolphin has king beds and double/double beds,these being just an inch shorter than a queen bed.For those of you who have stayed in one of these beds,how comfortable are they?Can a family of 4 stay comfortably in a room with two of these beds?

Absolutely!

The renovated rooms at the Dolphin have the Heavenly Beds and are wonderful!

We are a family of 4 and fit quite nicely!

I didn't notice a bit of difference in the size between the double/double beds and our queen at home. I think the rooms are great for a family of 4. It has a big closet and a vanity area separate from the large bathroom sink vanity. Try to get a renovated room.

Do you know if these renovated rooms are available at the "nurses"discount? Are they available on all floors of the Dolphin?

We requested a King, renovated room earlier this month (nurse's discount) and did get it. Others have posted that they started redoing the lower floors and are moving up. We're also SPG members, which might help with requests.

In the past, we didn't notice a difference between our Queen bed at home and the oversized doubles there (and we're larger size and not too comfortable in a double bed).

I liked how you put that,"larger-sized".That's exactly what I'd call my DH and myself and why I was curious if we'd be comfortable.Looks like I 'll be booking the Dolphin for our Christmas of 2004 trip.Thanks to everyone who replied.

at home and could not tell a real difference in bed size at the Dolphin. Great beds, great renovated room and great resort! ENJOY!

The Heavenly Beds have earned their name. Very comfy.

The Heavenly beds made me realize I was older when I was at PI and before midnight I was there thinking of the bed!!!! So very nice.
