Several roads will be operating under traffic restrictions or closed completely to accommodate runDisney events on February 25, 2023, from 10:30 PM - February 26, 2023, at 10:00 AM for Disney Princess Half Marathon.

Which roads?

I happened be going on the weekend during the marathon. On 2/25, Only traveling from the Dolphin to GF for breakfast. Back for pool. Then afternoon to evening at Disney Springs. Are those areas effected by the marathon?

How much traffic will I encounter? Driving.

Was does the marathon take place?

I was there for the January marathon. Yeah, the information they give is vague. I don't know if they publish an official guide (for a reason?) and this marathon may be different.

MK was a huge problem for many. Getting to the Grand could be equally as bad. You might consider Dolphin transportation to TTC to GF.

Wayze knew what was going on and routed us around the marathon. You can also look for the cones the night before to give you an idea where there will be a problem in the morning.

From the map, it looks like the closures are on the 26th. Late at night on the 25th.

So if I do breakfast at GF on the 25th, I should be ok. Am I not reading this correctly? Just want to make sure.

The races for the upcoming Princess Half Marathon Weekend are....

Friday 2/24 - 5k
Saturday 2/25 - 10k
Sunday 2/26 - Half Marathon

The only time runDisney puts on a full marathon is the WDW Marathon Weekend which is typically around the first or second weekend in January.

Road closure maps for the upcoming 2023 Princess Half Marathon Weekend can be found here: 5k, 10k, HM

Note those Google maps allow for zooming in on various roads and clicking for additional closure detail.

Traffic impacts for 5k and 10k races are usually minimal as the courses are long-cleared (or in the final clearing stages) by the time most general WDW guests are up/needing to move around property. Half Marathon distance races generally do create traffic impacts that can overlap with theme park/WDW transportation needs, depending on where you are going. For the Princess course, delays are usually heading to/from MK and the MK resort area, although make sure to check the maps for specific closures around your location/destination. And the general advice is to allow extra time moving around property in the early morning / rope drop hours as you can find yourself in some real delays if you have anything time sensitive in your plans.

Thanks, that's helpful. I'll be offsite and driving but it doesn't look like I will be impacted.
