I have read the faqs on these hotels until my head spins. Some simple questions: What level are the lounges for each of these hotels. Is alcohol of any type included? Is there a special check in? Elevator? In everyone's opinion, should I just take the Dreams unlimited upgrade and go for a better view with a balcony? and what rooms mights those be in which hotel. Also, do both hotels have rooms with balconies that are non-smoking with good views? Thank you!

We stayed CL at the Swan last 12/28-1/02/04. We were on 11th floor. we had the entrance to the lounge on 11, but then had to climb 1/2 flight. Breakfast was very good, with great choices (don't be afraid to ask for bottled water for you to take, they keep it in the back but are very glad to get it for you) and pleasant staff. Afternoon hours 5:30-7:00pm(I think) was 1 or 2 hot hor d'heurves, cheese, crackers, bread, dip veggies, cookies coffe, tea, soda, water (not sure about alcohol as we didn't drink any) also very good offerings and good atmosphere. We only made the afternoon offerings 3 times due to park touring. (there are pictures of the CL offerings and lounges on allears web-site)We were in room 1134, non-smoking and had a view of the TOT at MGM, the waterway and part of Boardwalk villas(along with the front of the Swan). Great viewing of fireworks from Fantasmic! We had turn down each evening with replacemant towels and mineral water. We did not have any balconies on 11th floor, but I have heard people getting a balcony on another floor and adding CL access. Loved the service at the Swan, don't know about Dolphin except we did eat at Fresh and Dolphin Fountain, both very good.
Connears

No alchol is included in the club level. You can buy some wine and beer there.

There is no special check in and/or elevator.

I would not pay for this due to the issue Connears makes. The limited hours mean it is very hard to take advantage of the afternoon offerings and for one or two people it's hard to eat that much breakfast.

Also, when I was there they would give you one or two 4 oz (TINY) bottles of water if you asked. Once again not worth much to me.

All depends on how much extra you have to pay and how many in your party.

We are loving it right now. We have had breakfast down there every morning and We have missed one or two evenings. It is currently 5 pm to 7 pm. One hot appetizer, cheeses, crackers, veggies & dip, cape cod potato chips, soda, water, coffee, 3 or 4 cookie types and a massive tray of fresh fruits (grapes, honeydew, cantelope, watermelon). We have filled our tummies and then had a late supper anywhere from 9 pm to 1:30 a.m. (don't ask!). We have never made a special trip back for it, but as the weather during the last week as been HOT, HOT, HOT (did I happen to mention it is hot here?), we have gone back for a quick shower etc. As we have been up late we have still had a small supper later on, but on our last trip, we often combined the fruit & cheese, etc with a pizza or a small sandwich from Tubbis and been quite content. Alcohol is for purchase only.

I will always do my best to be at Club here as it works out so well for us (especially with my diabetes).

For us the CL isn't worth the extra money. We have gotten a room with a great view without paying for any kind of upgrade at both the Swan and the Dolphin. We make a grocery stop, free with our towncar service and stock up on breakfast, lunch, beer and snacks and buy a cheap cooler for our room. This month when we went, we put a few things in the minibar. I wish we had just paid $20 to have the minibar fridge emptied and used that for our stuff. I got a little tired of refilling the cooler with ice.

There are lots of rooms with balconies at both the S and D that have great views. If you want fireworks, that may be extra but we've never been in our room during that time anyway.
