Dolphin and Caribbean Beach

I have a large family and just I just got a great deal on a large-suite at the Dolphin for September that can fit us all. I am also considering the Caribbean Beach resort because during value season I could rent two adjoining rooms, which would give me enough space at around the same price as my Dolphin suite.

So my question is, what are people’s views regarding the Caribbean Beach v. Dolphin. If you have only been to one still share your thoughts. In your response can you let me know if the Caribbean Beach resort gets boat service to Epcot like the Dolphin? Thanks for the advice in advance.

We LOVE the Caribbean Beach - it reminds me so much of Nassau!! When we travel we always get two rooms and it really works out great. The extra bathroom is a tremendous plus for our family. Sorry but the CBR does not have boat service to Epcot all transportation is by bus.

It depends when in Sept. you are going. The main pool at CBR is closed until mid Sept. There are 7 villages though that have a pool.

I love both of these resorts, BUT, I have one thing to say -- LOCATION. Dolphin wins that battle.

I have been to both resorts. While I love the CBR you really can't compare it to the Dolphin. The Dolphin is a delux resort within walking distance to 2 parks. It seems like a no brainer.

We spent a week at CBR at Christmas (07) and we enjoyed everything about the resort. Great service! Great theme!

Factor into your decision whther or not you want to take advantage of Disney's Magical Express service or the Disney dining plan. You can not get either of these at the Swan/Dolphin. I woudl agree that Swan/Dolphin are better on location, but two bathrooms sounds mighty appealing. We have stayed at CBR twice and loved it. We have stayed at BC 3x and loved the location (next to Swan/Dolphin). I guess it would depend on how many are going, the bathroom configuration for each option, the bedding configuration for each option, the ages for each person and whether you want to take advantage of DME (or paying for parking instead) or using the food plan.

I know many peple love it, but we had a bad stay at CBR. We will be at the Dolphin this May so I guess you can guess what I would choose. We stayed at the Swan last year and LOVED the location, pool, and Heavenly beds! I would definitely go with the Dolphin!!!!
