Does anyone know how frequently they change content of the show? I know the original concept would remain the same, but in other words, if you have already seen the show, is it worth going again? We went two years ago in Myrtle Beach and the kids loved it. Thought it would be a nice surprise this summer. How far is it from WDW area?
TIA!

We've been a few times, & the shows do change occasionally. I think I read that they rotate the shows between venues. In other words, it runs for a while in MB then goes to Orlando, etc. (I'm not sure what the order of rotation is.) Has anyone else heard this? :confused3 Odds are you wouldn't be seeing the same show as you saw in MB anyway. I've seen different shows, but as you mentioned many elements are the same. I enjoyed subsequent visits as much as the 1st. I think they'd love it! Nice surprise!!! :teeth:

Great place, great time for the family...

We went last year (Trip Report Here) and the kid's had a ball. We paid for the closer seats and we were one row from the action... I'd go again this year, but Dolly's speaking voice makes my head feel like it's going to imitate the aliens in "Mars Attacks!" when the Slim Whitman track is running.

Each Dixie location has its own feel and style but the basic show elements are essentiall the same. If there are any major changes to the show, they usually occur in January when the show transitions back to the regular show after Christmas.

That being said, the show in Myrtle Beach has some differences from the show in Orlando. Last I heard, Myrtle Beach was still doing the BBQ scene (one of my faves) which has been replaced in Orlando by the "Home Cookin" (barf) scene. Now this may have changed - I haven't spoken with anyone at the Myrtle Beach location for a while.

Other differences are that the Orlando location serves beer and wine and has very slightly toned down the "Rah Rah Americans rule" message to better appeal to the more international guest base found in Orlando.

that is a great place, i love going ( even though my hubby's boss parents how those places lol )

I'd like to go to the Orlando location and probably just once. If just once, would you recommend catching the Christmas version? Thanks.

We have only been to the Christmas show - we went New Year's Eve a couple years ago, and it was very nice. They had a live nativity, and other I think an ice skating scene (maybe this is in the normal show). We had a very good time. It was DD7 at the time, DM80ish and myself!

DD loved Arabian Nights too - they went on a trip with Day Camp.
