Dollar, What to expect at Sanford (Inspired by Alamo / MCO thread )

Following on from the thread for Alamo at MCO airport, anyone know what you can expect (once again step-by-step so there's no surprises) for Dollar rentals at Sanford Airport?

It's my first time renting a car in FL (last time I wasn't old enough to not pay a young driver surcharge), and I was all geared up for Alamo at MCO, but my flights have switched to Sanford and the car rental to Dollar (to save $1000, wouldn't yours?), so I'm back to being in the dark!!!!!

OK, there are a few codes for Dollar rent a car. However, one person on a site where I found them said the rates were cheaper without a code!

I don't know if they're valid or not, but I found them on a couple of sites.

I got a good deal with Alamo at SFB using the Walmart code on the Alamo thread. I plugged the same info into Dollar and their rates are a bit more expensive than what I found. There are lots of rental places there; you might want to check them all (There's a list on the SFB webpage). Our flight gets in late and the websites of many of the car places says their counter is closed by then, but I called some of them and they said that they are open till the last flight comes in. Hope this helps!

sandford is very small you can't miss the rentals

i'll give you my stock sanford advice everyone goes downstairs together to get the luggage have someone go directly to dollar to get the car then come back your suitcases will still be there it is only a couple of feet away and you will beat the mad rush, also deb's site gives great directions from sanford(including toll money)
just pick your resort

just follow the dollar signs if the first dollar counter is closed it will say go outside across the street there is another dollar counter, then have someone come with the luggage and be on your way, i have to say i rent the cheapo car and he makes me a deal everytime for a cheap minivan, he's got a ton extra cars on his lot, just bargain for it..

he saw us coming and said you are not going to fit all that in a little ford, so he told me to just take a mini-van, sometimes he offers me a price but it has always been cheaper then picking it in the ressie.
