Greetings!

1st, thanks to all for the informative posts on all DVC topics on this board and thanks to the hard working moderators!

There have been many threads about where to go grocery shopping, so I wonder if anyone knows where the nearest dollar-type store might be?

Lot's of stuff we use/consume might well be cheaper there. Example: microwave popcorn is a buck at my local dollar store vs. $2.39 at the A&P next door.

Thanks in advance for all answers/thoughts on this....

We're looking forward to being at BCV Jan 19 thru 25.

There is a Super Walmart in Kissimmee out on 192, but the traffic getting there, in the parking lot, and returning to WDW is more than I like to fool with. For the types of things you mentioned, I usually bring them from my local dollar store at home. Where we live, we have Walmart, Freds, Dollar General and Family Dollar. I haven't seen those smaller ones in the WDW surrounding area, just the Super Walmart, which I try to avoid. Hope this helps.

There is a Dollar Tree store in the Albertsons shopping center on Orange Blossom Trail, just north of SR417 "The Greenway". (12981 S. Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, FL 32837).

Nice store with lots of little dollar throwaways for vacations. (Sand toys, ponchos, snacks, etc).
The Albertsons next store is a full service supermarket that should cover all your grocery needs.

However, we ususally hit the Super Target first. It is kitty corner / southwesterly on the other side of the highway. They have everything a regula Target has plus a Archer Market Grocery Starbucks, and TacoBell/Pizza Hut snack bar inside the store.

Hope this helps, Steve
