Have you ever gotten something from the Dollar Store that just made your Disney trip that much better? Either the trip itself or the long car ride to get there..

Thanks :)

Glow sticks and lots of them for late fireworks waiting or late parade waiting. Our son likes to hand them out to ther kids sitting by us so there is a whole bunch in one area. Fun and cheap entertainment.

We always take new cheap toothbrushes when we travel and we toss them on return, so I get those there. I also buy the $ ponchos in case of rain, and the mini bags of jelly belly jelly beans. We love to each eat one and try to guess each flavors. Sometimes I will pick up the smaller packages of tooth paste too. I also buy to glow sticks. I pretty much avoid the junk toys from there, but one trip for some reason we ended up with the really junky money set that DS played with FOREVER on the way home. Don't forget that the $ store takes coupons so its easy to sometimes get toothpaste there for free!!!

I didn't get them from the dollar store, but they were a dollar at Walmart. I like to stock up on the cheap disposable ponchos. I will get a couple every time I go away (or, if I'm lucky enough to have a rain-free vacation, just bring the ones from the last trip). They're folded up nice, so I can fit one for me and one for my boyfriend in my purse at all times.

Of course, the first time I did this was on my Disney trip in 2012, the day we checked in, we just threw our bags in our room and headed out to MK, we were there before the skies opened up, and I hadn't taken any with us because it looked so nice out, there was no way it could possibly rain! And, the weather was perfect after that, so the one day I actually needed them, we didn't have them on us :faint:

Toothbrushes that we use and dispose of, ponchos, travel games/coloring books/crayons, glow sticks, light up toys, Disney themed nite lights to use in the room, non-dairy creamer, hand sanitizers, Kleenex, wipees, I try not to use artificial sweeteners but we have been know to buy crystal light packs/soooo much cheaper than local grocery store:thumbsup2

I purchase pop up hampers good enough for my trip they fit nice in my luggage I also use the zip lock bags I use the freezer type they seem to be thicker for wet suits on our last day the zip locks are great for packing suntan lotion or shampoo too I have had a bottle leak in a suitcase once never again

Disney stickers - we found books of stickers with Mickey, Minnie and Toy Story at the $ store right before our last trip - and they kept our toddler busy on lines and at the table waiting for meals in the parks. He likes to stick them on his own shirt so he didn't leave stickers everywhere for others to clean up. As a bonus, I used some for my scrapbook :)

Disney night lights. You can find nice stuff periodically. Also visit your local thrift stores. I got a 4' tall mickey once at mine...$25... and a 24" tigger. I like stuffed Disney characters.

My $1 cooling towels. They are perfect! They work really well and fit just right for our necks- not too big or small. And for $1 I bought several cause I tend to lose things at Disney!!

At my Dollar Tree store there are Anti-bacteria wipes in small Disney Themed Character pouches (Princesses, Monsters, Cars, ect.), thought I would buy some for the parks, can carry in purse.

I buy the glow sticks and cheap ponchos. This year I also got Disney stickers and am DIYing a journal for the big kids to do each day of the trip.

Other Disney things I have seen there:
Night lights (could be good for hotel room)
Small Mickey figurine in toy section (small enough to it in your pocket)
Various Disney themed puzzles
Doc McStuffins sticker set
Disney Grab and Go packs (small coloring book, crayons and stickers)
Pocket size kleenex
Disney printed lunch/sandwich bags
